I first heard NYC pioneer DJ Kenny Carpenter's remix of this and was immediately inspired.
Kenny had recorded completely new music for his version, and kindly let me mess around with it.
I added some of my Disco drums, brought in virtuoso Alex Finkin to work a little magic on a real piano, a little break here, a little break there, and voila !

I still have a vivid memory  of my excitment  at the 10 years DEEP anniversary in LA ca 2009: Rich Medina & Spinna on decks, me & Lars Behrenroth on da floor and suddenly Prince and his clan next to us gettin down. 
R.I.P. PRINCE, we´ll miss ya!

ps. this almost 10 year old 7 Samurai ´rmx is just about showing some R.E.S.P.E.C.T. and paying tribute  to one of the funkiest  music talents of the 80´s .
