Edinburgh born Jigz has been producing and DJ'ing for the past 5 years. Although over the years many have, Jigz lists Heatmakerz, Rza, Pete Rock and Hi-Tek as his main inspirations. Already making a serious dent in the Scottish scene and being called "the Scottish answer to Kanye West" by The Daily Record, Jigz can be sure of a successful future.
 
While always looking to stay productive, he has worked with artists such as J Spades, Fix Dot M, Stig Of The Dump, Squingy (USG) and Regime to name a few. Having also worked with top Scottish artists such as Madhat McGore, Simba, Kobi Onyame, Werd, Wardie Burns & Flyboy Generalz.
 
Jigz spent time in New York honing his craft with Blacksmith Music, and working with American star and Blacksmith Record Label owner Talib Kweli. Having the opportunity to make music in some of New Yorks best studios including the legendary Chung Kings studio and producing for fellow Blacksmith members Pete Rock, Jean Grae and Strong Arm Steady he has experienced first hand in what it takes to work at the top. However after encountering problems with the ever tricky American visa system Jigz had to make the journey back across the water.
 
However after looking to push himself towards his full capabilities he found himself working regularly with MCFR artist Madhat McGore. With both feeling comfortable and at ease around each other MCFR could see this was a good working relationship.
 
With Jigz talent being clear for all to hear, MCFR made their approach and asked Jigz to join the roster as a producer. He happily accepted, and is already working on his first release due for free download in the near future.
