We’re big fans of Hot Since 82 and have supported & enjoyed his music from the ‘Let It Ride’ days. In addition to that, we’re also massive fans of Goldtrix and one of our favourite Dance tracks of all time is ‘It’s Love (Trippin’)’ Feat. Andrea Brown.

When Hot Since 82 released ‘Buggin’’ back in 2018, we were blown away with how great the track was, and how he had used elements of ‘It’s Love (Trippin)’. We’ve always said it would be a dream to remix both tracks, so when Hot Since 82 announced his competition to remix ‘Buggin’, it was a no brainer to get in the studio & put our take on it!

We initially planned to make something that was more of a throwback to ‘It’s Love (Trippin’)’: something with a late 90s/early 00s electronic/dance feel. After a bit of backing and forthing, we then decided to make something deeper and darker, which we also felt would suit Jem Cooke’s amazing vocal and fit perfectly on the Knee Deep In Sound Label. The vision for our remix was for it to sit somewhere in between the two records whilst putting our stamp on it…which is exactly what we think we’ve achieved!
