Geboren in Sibirien und musikalisch gereift in der deutschen Clubszene, steht Mark Gavrikow seit 2008 für Techno und House mit oldschool Attitüde. Seine Sets sind roh, druckvoll und stets mit einem klaren Fokus auf den Dancefloor.

Acht Jahre lang prägte er als Resident DJ im Club Airport das Nachtleben in Würzburg und entwickelte dort seinen Stil.

Als Produzent veröffentlicht Mark auf seinem eigenen Label HUMAN FROM MARS, ebenso auf Imprints wie FREMD Lab und Eurotec. Seine Produktionen spiegeln das wider, was ihn selbst geprägt hat: Die Energie der Schranz-Ära, der UK-Sound von Surgeon und Regis, sowie die Pionierarbeit der Detroit-Legenden Mills, Hood und Blake Baxter.

Paàl is a Berlin-based live act and producer with a versatile, percussive approach to club music. Moving between house and techno, his sound blends deep atmospheres with driving rhythmic intensity, creating immersive and physical dance floor experiences. His hardware live sets are spontaneous and energetic, offering a raw and evolving take on contemporary club performance. As a producer, he has released on labels including Bipolar Disorder, Fides, Midnight Shift and Club QU, with tracks that balance clarity and groove. With appearances at venues such as Berghain, Tresor and RSO, Paàl continues to shape a sound defined by depth, openness and freedom from genre boxes.

In this set, Paàl delivers a journey into hypnotic grooves and subtle intensity, capturing just the right amount of deepness for those steaming, sunlit mornings. Rhythms simmer and roll with energy, carrying the dance floor forward in a haze of warmth and momentum.

Dreams

For the latest podcast we feature some deep and dark techno courtesy of Spanish DJ and producer Juan Campos. Born in the mid-80s, he began his journey with electronic music at a very young age, and began his career as a DJ in 2002. 
His ever-evolving mixes span various branches of techno. Juan is also a very active producer and his productions have been released in both digital and vinyl formats on Labels such as Revolution Records, Combine Audio and Primitive State among others

Brainchild is a French DJ based in Paris. Her love for techno was born in the vibrant underground scene of Buenos Aires, where she immersed herself for three years. Back in Paris, she used her experience to craft her own sonic universe, infused with tribal textures and shaped by the immersive energy of mental and hypnotic techno.

She has since carved out her own path—rooted in emotion, contrast, and raw rhythm. Her sets blend hypnotic layers with groovy, high-energy pulses, creating a space where movement becomes meditation. Brainchild invites the crowd into a liberating flow, where sound becomes both escape and expression.

Set the Mood with Florian Laurent!

As the 65th guest of the Set the Mood series, we are proud to introduce Florian Laurent. For him, a perfect opening set is not about going full force from the very beginning, but about creating a foundation. He sees it as a chance to guide a room into a flow that sparks curiosity about what is still to come, while setting the tone for the rest of the night.

Florian Laurent is a 29-year-old artist from Arnhem. Music has always played a central role in his life, not only as something to listen to, but above all as a way to create atmosphere and translate emotions. When he first started playing, he quickly realized that it was never just about mixing tracks together. For him, it was about telling a story. Behind the decks, he shapes a journey in which tension, emotion, and energy flow seamlessly into one another.

His sets often begin dreamy and melodic, allowing the listener to slowly settle into the flow. From that light and floating start, he builds the tension step by step, with the music becoming darker, more hypnotic, and more intense.

In terms of style, Florian moves within the deeper and hypnotic currents of techno, combined with groovy, minimalist, and rhythmic elements. He has a love for repetitive patterns, dark textures, and tight rhythms that slowly lock together. For him, music must be more than just sound. It should be something that can be felt, as if the space itself transforms and the listener can completely lose themselves in the flow.

Florian draws inspiration from artists and movements that seek balance between subtlety and intensity. He avoids quick peaks or forced drops, instead focusing on a steadily rising tension that pulls the audience further into depth. In this way, he creates sets that not only carry energy but also form a hypnotic journey in which the crowd can sink in and let themselves be carried away.

His goal is always to tell a story that lingers, moving from light and immersive to dark and raw, and everything in between.
