Florian Bery, a young frenchman from Paris, delivered us an incredibly complete track that can be listened wherever, whenever.

While the greatly missed Aaliyah soothes your ears with the reworked vocal, Florian Bery melts it with bouncy chords and gliding basses that just makes you want to dance.

The Wave could be more than just a summer anthem.
It could last throughout the years becoming a major track in the tropical style.

Previously known as Gliterium, his work was compared to Darius & Kartell's touch when they produced French House. One of his first project was called "Color Your Sample" (https://soundcloud.com/coloryoursample). Florian Bery now unites his ancient french-house style with awesome tropical/downtempo synths to create a unique genre.

Taking the release-portfolio into account, Rampa built over the last years on Keinemusik, him adding a new EP to the labels catalogue is worth every credit of trust. And this very “Trust” EP is living up to that not only by its name. It certainly offers value for money, considering KM-releases have mostly been two-trackers. There are four cuts on this one, each one following a different approach, making it also a hella versatile record.

It opens with the titeltrack, the floor-mantra within this bunch. A ruminant groove, backed by lifting and dropping notes, launching a catchy synth-figure and adding up synth-layers until all tension drops into a break that’s as curative as a talk therapy. A track that, out of unshakable serenity, unleashes an irresistible energy.

The following “Entropie” comes closest to what could be considered a Rampa classic. Percussive loops that are scooped up with even more banging and clanking – check. Lurking synthbass in the back – check. Vocalsamples with tribal descent – double check. Generally, you’ll find a whole lot of folklore in this rhythm rich affair, that continuously is jazzing up to highest ecstasy levels.

The flipside opens with “Defiled”, led by a prominent synthline, that’s going through various filter highs and lows and gets bludgeoned by some vigorously swung claps. Raw, naked floor material lacking any flourish, that seems to even fire up a jackhammer during the break.

“Headsup” is concluding this set. Triggering the smell of watered sidewalks, lit-up only by flickering neon light, immersed in the depths of delay, this latenight-story finds some redemption and warmth within the glow of its soulful vocal samples.

Very rarely does an album transcend the corporeal experience and rise into the metaphysical, but that’s exactly the feeling that Vancouver’s Apollo manages to capture on his premiere album, “Skydive.” The album tells the story of Apollo as the sonic savior to our world, descending to Earth from another galaxy to spread positivity, peace and healing through music; his sound is distinctively and appropriately ethereal and utterly unique, captivating the listener and not releasing its hold until Apollo has conquered the world with light.  From the melodic opening of the album’s self-titled track, to the upbeat and empowering “Our Voices,” to the funky and cathartic “Dominion,” Apollo takes the listener on a true musical journey. A born artist himself, Apollo has always been influenced by synesthesia—the connection between sound and colors—and “Skydive” evokes soft, watercolor tones in the shades of the sky and sunset. “Skydive” is a complex and emotive masterpiece from the Canadian rising talent, one that indicates this certainly will not be the last you hear about him.
