To start off our new series which focuses on DJs and Producers from Glasgow and surrounding areas to showcase what they are all about in a rapid 30 minute mix, we invited ISORA. 

Isora has then become a resident at Glasgow based Electro + Ghettotech record label Hyperdome Records and at EPiKA, an all-female DJ collective based in Edinburgh, focusing her attention more on hardcore and gabber sounds, in combination with other rapid genres such as breakcore

Local Selector Series 01 - Isora

WELCOME TO THE FARM: DISC 3 (THE REMIXES) is the final chapter of the first international DEMON VA by Groove Estate Records in collaboration with The Demons Farmers (Discord). A collection of the finest remixes and artists, we pay (blood) tribute to the farming of techno beats. An 11 track reworking of some of the best tracks on DISC'S 1 & 2, we find ourselves blessed with a final sermon from those deep beneath flames below.

Second episode of our local selector series sees us invite manu_facturer for 30min of 150-170bpm madness.

Sean started making a name for himself in the middle of 2019 after being involved in Glasgow’s after-party scene.  Since getting into DJing Sean quickly got into producing, with releases now Tek-no Prisoners, Toxic Warm-up Society, Tnnlsystm and Still Distant Records.

As of more recent times he has opened for the likes of Nico Moreno and TRYM at ACLPs SWG3 parties alongside starting his own industrial techno label A.S.D.R with 3SBAT and Kalopsia, who you can see on the 26th of February in Stereo.

For the third episode we invited Hyperdome Records head honcho, DJ Bastard for 30 minutes of rapid electro and ghetto tech. 

Alongside Isora who we previously had on the series, the two have been making a name for themselves and their label, Hyperdome throughout the Glasgow scene with multiple events and releases that focus on electro, ghetto and everything of that nature. Within the next few months they are moving to London to continue to grow their brand and tear up a few clubs whilst they are at it. 

You can catch DJ Bastard playing b2b with Isora at Stereo on the 24th of March where they will be joined by Mi$$ Co$mix and Kush Jones

James has been involved in throwing some of the best parties Glasgow and Edinburgh has seen over recent years with MPC and BigFoot's Tea Party. He's also managed to land multiple podcasts with the likes of Animal Farm and Voight Kampff.

I have made my first ever live act set, all with my own tunes as usual!😁

Finally it was a proper challange for me, originally i bought my dj setup to do live act, but at that moment i realised that my knowledge is not enough, so i started remapping it as a dj set. Then i saw Alkototabor’s competition and i thought maybe this could be the time to finally try the live act stuff.😃 The preparation took me ages, the producing showed me new ways how to make tracks as simple as possible, while keeping it’s creative sound.

Axeev / Live Act 001

After his debut on Crisis Of Man earlier this year, on the label VA – Frazi.er is back with his ‘Youth Culture’ EP, a massive 4-track offering with a gargantuan remix from Possession resident Hadone.

Opening with the title track ‘Youth Culture’ its breakneck drums pound as percussive sonics add a melodic, almost psytrance edge. Hadone’s remix takes a very different path, stripping the original back and adding a sidechained drone to the low end and working the vocal. Detroit-y pads midway add a sense of hopefulness.

‘Rave Scene Exploitation’s Industrial drums and scattergun hats create tension onto which Frazi.er expertly adds a huge melodic top line that comes from nowhere. ‘Transparency’ (NRG Tool Mix) does exactly what it says on the can. Acting very much as a bridging tool, it quickly gets up the speed without ever overcooking. Finally, ‘Take Me Away’ explodes from the speakers from the first enormous kick drum. Eerie saw-toothed synths take the lead as the track builds up before dropping back to thunderous drums before the main break. It’s a wild ride!

COM011 - FRAZI.ER - YOUTH CULTURE (HADONE REMIX)

The Brvtalist is pleased to premiere a new track from Euyinn. "Saturn Striking" comes off the new v/a, Celestial Dissolvement (3X2U), the first release on the label. For this release, 3X2U delivers a compilation based around the bodies of the solar system. Each artist has been given a gong sample in a frequency that corresponds to the chosen planet and the end result is a powerful, striking array of tracks including this great one today from Euyinn.

Alongside Polka Dot Disco Club Frankie is one half of Violin/DJ duo Kintra who have traveled all over the country playing gigs at some of the best venues and even had an appearance on BBC radio 1s introducing dance music show.
