Local Selector Series

To start off our new series which focuses on DJs and Producers from Glasgow and surrounding areas to showcase what they are all about in a rapid 30 minute mix, we invited ISORA. 

Isora has then become a resident at Glasgow based Electro + Ghettotech record label Hyperdome Records and at EPiKA, an all-female DJ collective based in Edinburgh, focusing her attention more on hardcore and gabber sounds, in combination with other rapid genres such as breakcore

Local Selector Series 01 - Isora

Second episode of our local selector series sees us invite manu_facturer for 30min of 150-170bpm madness.

Sean started making a name for himself in the middle of 2019 after being involved in Glasgow’s after-party scene.  Since getting into DJing Sean quickly got into producing, with releases now Tek-no Prisoners, Toxic Warm-up Society, Tnnlsystm and Still Distant Records.

As of more recent times he has opened for the likes of Nico Moreno and TRYM at ACLPs SWG3 parties alongside starting his own industrial techno label A.S.D.R with 3SBAT and Kalopsia, who you can see on the 26th of February in Stereo.

For the third episode we invited Hyperdome Records head honcho, DJ Bastard for 30 minutes of rapid electro and ghetto tech. 

Alongside Isora who we previously had on the series, the two have been making a name for themselves and their label, Hyperdome throughout the Glasgow scene with multiple events and releases that focus on electro, ghetto and everything of that nature. Within the next few months they are moving to London to continue to grow their brand and tear up a few clubs whilst they are at it. 

You can catch DJ Bastard playing b2b with Isora at Stereo on the 24th of March where they will be joined by Mi$$ Co$mix and Kush Jones

Episode 4 of our local selector series comes from Missing Person Clubs DJ Smoker. James has been involved in throwing some of the best parties Glasgow and Edinburgh has seen over recent years with MPC and BigFoot's Tea Party. He's also managed to land multiple podcasts with the likes of Animal Farm and Voight Kampff.

Aidan has previously been on our other podcast series way back but he felt his sound needed a refresh after taking some time off from DJing due to the pandemic ruining the experience for him. Good to have Aidan back in the scene and hopefully see him behind the decks somewhere soon with the rest of the Schematic boys.

The next local DJ up on our local series is Surge co-founder Siggs. Siggs started his DJ career in 2019 and is one half of newly formed Glasgow collective Surge which aims to showcase local artists who play hard hitting and fast paced dance music.

In addition to hosting Surge nights, Siggs is also a resident for It’sNotRadio where he plays a monthly show further exhibiting his passion for tunes on the heavier side.

Next up on the local selector series we have On the Nose head honchos Reptilian and Rosti. 

Both Sam and Rosti have been involved in the scene for a long time, with Rosti being heavily involved with Glasgow techno label Animal Farm who dont need any introduction. 

Sam has been producing some wild tracks for the likes of Chained Vision, Northern Industrial Movement and recently released a track with Texture Records for their latest VA. 

The two have came together along with a few others recently to create a hard techno night in basement of La Cheetah on the last Wednesday of every month. The night focuses on the everything hard and fast with their next event is in a few weeks (22.06)that involves a stacked link up of local talent including Magazip, Lucid, VXYX and Dark Ali

Local Selector Series 11 - Reptilian b2b Røsti

The next episode of the MITSUcast was recorded by Freigeist. Originally from Freiburg, he has managed to fascinate crowds with his sets in both his native region as well as his new home city Berlin. Throughout the years he has been active in the techno & trance scene, he has helped to set-up various music-related projects. Freigeist is the co-founder of the Berlin based INTRA collective. Tthe group has organized a series of well recieved events in different clubs located in the German capital. In a highly digitalized music world, Freigeist sticks to the roots of DJing by primarily playing vinyl records. Thus, his sets have a high share of trance tracks that were released in 90s/00s yet still sound fresh & innovative to this day, despite being several decades old. D4NCON is a 22 year old DJ and Producer from Glasgow. He has always had a love for music since he was young but this has now fizzled through to Electronic Music. He started going to parties over the city which made him fall in love with the electronic scene.

He previously played under the alias, Databass where he played in venues such as Buff Club, Broadcast and Nice and Sleazys. He has played at many of Glasgow’s underground after parties and recently made his Room2 debut supporting Viper Diva.

He is now playing under his alias, D4NCON, which is heavily inspired by genres such as Hard Techno, Hypnotic and fast rolling grooves.

However, this mix is extremely diverse and will go from Schranz to Donk in under 30 minutes. Lock in for a mental ride

LaPrinzessaGalaktika aka Galaktika started two years ago djing at Masha Dabelka’s DJ school Turntablista. She quickly realized that industrial techno triggers her emotions and opens her heart. She always finds inspiration in (sub)genres like witch house, dark-wave, experimental and in classical music. Her music is not about seamless transitions, her aim is rather to spread the positive feeling of unity, freedom and queerness, irrespective of social class. She strongly rejects social exclusion in our society.
