To start off our new series which focuses on DJs and Producers from Glasgow and surrounding areas to showcase what they are all about in a rapid 30 minute mix, we invited ISORA. 

Isora has then become a resident at Glasgow based Electro + Ghettotech record label Hyperdome Records and at EPiKA, an all-female DJ collective based in Edinburgh, focusing her attention more on hardcore and gabber sounds, in combination with other rapid genres such as breakcore

Second episode of our local selector series sees us invite manu_facturer for 30min of 150-170bpm madness.

Sean started making a name for himself in the middle of 2019 after being involved in Glasgow’s after-party scene.  Since getting into DJing Sean quickly got into producing, with releases now Tek-no Prisoners, Toxic Warm-up Society, Tnnlsystm and Still Distant Records.

As of more recent times he has opened for the likes of Nico Moreno and TRYM at ACLPs SWG3 parties alongside starting his own industrial techno label A.S.D.R with 3SBAT and Kalopsia, who you can see on the 26th of February in Stereo.

2019, a year Selective Response first released music to the world in the form of singles ‘Scorched Earth Policy’ and ‘Weekend At Nik's’ - they provided a clear indication that the California Native was not messing around, with his powerful, industrial, raw productions. 

Crisis of Man has quietly gathered pace these past few years reaching a critical mass as the go to for everyone from Truncate to Perc via I Hate Models. Heading the imprint, Selective Response has taken pains to set trends rather than follow them, building a loyal fan base around his uncompromising industrial sound.

Early support from Cleric, Dax J and Perc, encouraged the launch of his own label Crisis Of Man, a platform which since has mainly been the home for his own creations, it now kicks off 2022 with a stellar 10 track VA, to mark their 10th release.  

‘Core Values Vol 1’ is the first in no doubt a series of stacked compilations to come on the label, featuring talented undiscovered names including EAS, PLEASURES, Emptyshell, Rave Syndicate and Innestemme, to those with some recognition including US female artists Annika Wolfe and Lindsey Herbert, Scotland’s Frazi.er and Germany’s Zeltak.

Premiere: Innestemme - Heartbeat [COM009]

For the third episode we invited Hyperdome Records head honcho, DJ Bastard for 30 minutes of rapid electro and ghetto tech. 

Alongside Isora who we previously had on the series, the two have been making a name for themselves and their label, Hyperdome throughout the Glasgow scene with multiple events and releases that focus on electro, ghetto and everything of that nature. Within the next few months they are moving to London to continue to grow their brand and tear up a few clubs whilst they are at it. 

You can catch DJ Bastard playing b2b with Isora at Stereo on the 24th of March where they will be joined by Mi$$ Co$mix and Kush Jones

James has been involved in throwing some of the best parties Glasgow and Edinburgh has seen over recent years with MPC and BigFoot's Tea Party. 13th installment of our local selector series comes from ILuna. Iluna's articulate techno sets and love for all things underground are making her one of Scotland’s most promising prospects. Hailing from the west coast countryside of Glasgow Scotland, her galactic productions and performances are a far cry from the existence of village life. Inspired by likes of Dax J and Slam, she’s turning heads with her talent as a selector, DJ and producer. She’s a firm favourite of Glasgow’s Groove City Radio FM with her monthly show ‘Iluna Sessions’ and is resident DJ with techno collective Tribal Pulse; running parties scattered across Scotland with DJ partner, Boom Merchant.

Based in Berlin, Caniche developed her penchant for hard and fast Techno early on. As a DJ she plays fervidly selected gems from the early 2000s and a sound that reaches from Hardgroove as well as more trancy tunes to full-on Schranz.

As co-founder and resident of Vienna’s PUSH - Female DJ Network, she fiercely fights for more visibility and equal treatment of FLINTA artists. The network structure connects hard Techno DJs across Europe and offers mutual support.

Hailing from Lausanne, Alex Nantaya’s ascension in the Swiss techno scene is impressive. From her first club-gig in 2021 to a festival tour in Switzerland last summer, she developed real technical skills and got some of the finest track selection around.
