Karawane (pronounced kara-va-neh) are Scottish-based global music DJs, producers and change-makers, focused on bringing people together through the primal bonds of rhythm and sound.

Celebrating music without borders, they have been instrumental in bringing a new sound and attitude to the scene in the Scottish Highlands via numerous residencies and parties, as well as hosting charity events for Choose Love, the Highland Migrant & Refugee Advocacy and Last Night A DJ Saved My Life.

Their dedication to positive action through music has been an inspirtion to Samedia and we are delighted to be representing their sound on Samedia Trax 002.

This release features two original tracks from Karawane alongside a remix from Brussel's based producer Rafael Aragon.

About Rural Beats
Rural Beats is the new EP that consists of 4 tracks by The Peronists that sound like a ﬁne mix of Argentine folkore, lo-ﬁ hip hop, downtempo, rural environments, electronic and organic electronic music.
Cumbia Andina (Rural Beats focus track) is a collaboration between Argentine producers The Peronists (Fede Randall) and Chancha Via Circuito (Pedro Canale).
Both producers have been part of the Argentine collective and label ZZK Records at the beginning of the millennium (since 2006) at an early age and both have shared their tracks in various compilations referring to the new sound of Argentine folktronics: ZZK Sound Vol. 1 and ZZK Sound Vol. 2 (ZZK Records, Argentina) and The Future Sound of Buenos Aires (Waxploitation, USA) and Nueva Cumbia Argentina - The Buenos Aires Implosion! (Soot Records, USA).

About The Peronists
From the age of 13 he began to ask his family to help him become a musician, since he had an obsession with sound and radio, he does not know very well where that concern came from, but it was always there and is still latent. His goals are to leave a mark of innovation in new urban genres, in stagnant and forgotten folk genres and make people dance as a producer and DJ, and make the listener have a good time.
Among his outstanding experiences are his participation in the Red Bull Music Academy in New York in 2013 where he took masterclasses among others, with Brian Eno. He released his music on labels such as ZZK Records, Desmo Records and Folcore Records. He currently works in sound design, composing and producing beats for the Red Bull Batalla de Gallos and for his personal music projects.

Acerca de The Peronists
Desde los 13 años que comenzó a pedirle a su familia que le ayuden a ser músico, ya que tenía obsesión con el sonido y la radio, no sabe muy bien de dónde vino esa inquietud, pero siempre estuvo ahí y aún está latente. Sus  objetivos son dejar una huella de innovación en géneros urbanos nuevos, en géneros folklóricos estancados y olvidados y hacer bailar a las personas como productor y DJ, y hacer pasar un buen rato al oyente.
Entre sus experiencias destacadas ﬁguran su participación en la Red Bull Music Academy de New York en 2013 donde tomó masterclasses entre otros, con Brian Eno. Publicó su música en sellos como ZZK Records, Desmo Records y Folcore Records. Actualmente trabaja en diseño de sonido, compone y produce beats para la Batalla de Gallos de Red Bull y para sus proyectos musicales personales.

Italian producer Populous makes his long awaited return to Wonderwheel with the first volume of his 2 part “Moonbaton” series - a collection of darker, instrumental reggaeton & moombahton cuts inspired by the zodiac, magic, and mystery of the universe. Things kick off with "Flauta Magica," focusing around the clave and a brooding synth line and a dembow style beat interweaving itself with the flute & a little bit of acid vibes for good measure. Next up is "Sapo," a distant, foreboding track with a monster of a beat & bassline complimenting a childlike fairy tale melody on top.

About ALMHD (instrumental)

ALMHD is a track created by Pablo after woke up one summer day of 2021, for this reason the name came from Almohada (Pillow), continuing the energy of the dreams, inspired on chill lofi sounds with reggaeton groove, to dance dreaming on a beach from latinamérica.

It is the first single by Don Plok after his first European Tour, as the first release of his next album, in a collaboration between the Folcore and Rebel Up labels. Mixed at Nogal Estudio and Oídos Contentos, mastered at Oídos Contentos by Manuel Schaller, producer of the album with Pablo.

The next singles will feature important international featurings, such as Soom T. Each month a new single will be released prior to the release of the album in digital and vinyl format, which will be published at the end of April or beginning of May, anticipating their next European Tour.

About Don Plok

Don Plok is the artistic alias of Pablo Carpignano (1986), a producer, DJ and music percussionist based in Southern Gran Buenos Aires With over 13 years of experience, founder of Guateque Soundz collective and Dunumba Soundsystem.

His influences going from latin american folk, dub, electronic music and the cumbias of his teenage years, but with a clear philosophical foundation on Afro music and his sincretism regarding urban latin tendencies.

Acerca de ALMHD (instrumental)

Este track suave y bailable combina un beat de reggaetón con armonías que asoman al RNB o nu soul, sin perder la cadencia de los ritmos latinoaméricanos.

ALMHD es un track creado en una mañana después de levantarse, (el nombre viene de Almohada). Continuando el mood de los sueños, Pablo aka Don Plok presenta guiños melódicos de RnB o lofi, con un groove de reggaeton que invita a bailar en una playa de latinoamérica. Es el primer single de Don Plok después de su primer Tour Europeo, como primer lanzamiento de su próximo álbum, en una colaboración entre los sellos Folcore y Rebel Up. Mezclado en Nogal Estudio y Oídos Contentos, masterizado en Oídos Contentos por Manuel Schaller, productor del disco junto a Pablo.

Acerca de Don Plok

Don Plok es productor, DJ y percusionista con base en la Zona Sur de GBA, con 13 años de experiencia. Fundador de Guateque Soundz y Dunumba Soundsystem, con influencias que pasan por bass music, folclores latinoamericanos, diversos géneros de electronica y las cumbias de de su adolescencia, pero con una clara base estético-filosófica en la música de raíz afro - y su sincretismo para con las corrientes urbanas de latinoamérica. Sus álbums y singles, sirven como testimonio de una exploración sonora que lo lleva a mezclar ritmos modernos con patrones tradicionales africanos; samples de vinilos, percusión y sintetizadores, con un destacado estilo personal que se ve en sus presentaciones.

ZZK Records Presents Montoya’s ‘Flor del Mar’ ft. Pahua, the second single from Montoya's upcoming album 'El Nido'. 

This is a tribute to those impossible love affairs that happen on your summer vacations, the idea of falling in love with the beauty, the context. In that tropical context that makes everything taste of salt, everything bathed in sunshine. That memory inspired me for this song, but also as a sensorial aid to get through the winter and dream about returning to that place and reliving that warm sensation.

Territorio Comanche cava y resucita sus raíces azotando graves profundos y electrónica sobre las pieles de tambores colombianos y el calor del caribe, estrictamente para hacer las caderas rebotar. El EP contiene remixes de cuatro de los principales productores de la electrónica actual latinoamericana, El Buga ft. Zambo, Andrés Digital, Pigmalião, y Mr. Toé, cada uno imprimiendo su propia magia y sonoridad al tema original.

La plataforma YMLLC da a conocer un Lp que reúne 14 artistas chilenos que rescatan los sonidos más esenciales de nuestra cultura americana mezclados con la electrónica global. 

Un scanner musical a la nueva escena folktrónica chilena, en donde están presente los ritmos más contemplativos de Derrok, Rodrigo Gallardo y Carla Valenti, además de los experimentos sonoros que vienen de la mano de El Buga, Murúa y Señor Chancho, pilares de Sello Regional. 

En el lado de la pista de baile los beats son aporte de Estrellas del Trópico, Sistema Beat Andino y MadTrip. Y a cargo del rescate de ritmos originarios están Mr. Toé, Frente Tunupa y Zambo 1492. 

Finalmente el viaje es completado por el misticismo que aportan Cholita Sound y Waxuma. Mención aparte para el arte del disco que estuvo a cargo del ilustrador Tomás Ives

Ecologia (Ecology): One could say it has a diverse narrative regarding to culture, technical practices, communication, uprising and contradictions. From organic to sampling, digital to analog, from wildfire to social ecology.

"Ecocide" as a project of social organisation is completely related with the capitalist concept of "Necropolitics". Both concepts aim in everything the possibility of commerce and exploitation.

Ibus come from jungles, some of them born from bushes, others from sand, concrete or water. The newborns are currently being brought to life in this sabotaged and poisoned environment, however , Ibus are organised with plenty of reasons for an uprising.

Searching in it’s first act of transition, “Ecologia" presents the end of this stage of nature’s doom and prepare us for the spring!

The EP "Ibu Selva - Ecologia" talks about transition, as a will to change, to instigate profound feelings, commotion and self knowledge.
