Cravo, is the solo project of Pedro Cravo, member of the tag team -2 [menosdois] and one of the founding members of Hayes Collective.

From deep to tough, his sets and live acts are designed for the dancefloor, oscillating between the various aspects of techno, house and electronic music in general. All crafted in order to take dancers on a journey full of groove and psychedelic loops.
 
Born in Lisbon, graduated in audiovisual arts, he had his first contact with music production, DJing and notion of rhythms and instruments through Dub and Reggae in mid 2007. Also being in love with Blues, Jazz and Afro Music, and in a phase of great inspiration, he created his first musical project, namely PeterSmiling - a heteronym. In this era he was also a part of the collective I’n’High Sound System and starting to compose and produce his first original music.
 
A first interest in producing and playing techno sparked in 2010. Influenced by his schoolmate, Vasco Guerreiro, who introduced him to this - at the time - new world of sounds. Through digging deep in the history of this new world, Cravo acquired more of a vision of becoming an electronic music artist (and also a bit of a raver). The musical influences at that time were ranging from techno in various forms to house - especially the blossoming genre of minimal - further to Psy Trance. All these musical influences have opened new frontiers both on the creative and production side.

With the afforementioned Vasco Guerreiro, Cravo subsequently came together to form -2 [menosdois] in 2011. In the following years the two would get to know their fellow comrades whom they now form Hayes Collective with: Temudo and VIL.

Hailing from Goiâna, Brazil, Marcal is one of the hottest names to have emerged from South-America in recent years. Signed to Radio Slave’s Rekids, Enemy Records and Planet Rhythm, the young Brazilian producer has skyrocketed to the forefront of the techno game, earning himself accolades from some of the world techno scene’s big guns including Marcel Dettmann, DVS1, Setaoc Mass, Ben Klock and more with impressive consistency. His trade of choice, i.e. dealing out hypnosis-inducing, sanity-combusting club material of the finest ilk, bursts to further explosive effect throughout the present mix. Covering two hours of blazing 4x4 rapids, rip-roaring telepathic machine talk and other incendiary, alien-engineered wares, Marcal stakes out his territory sheer badman style.

The 122nd FrenzyPodcast will be provided by the Marseille-born DJ and producer, Hemka. Hemka’s life has been influenced with music since a young age, growing up in a musical family and playing bass guitar as a teenager. However, her musical career lifted off since 2016 with “Drunk Violins”, which was released on Scryptom. Since then, the French artist released on many renowned labels such as Rekids, Bpitch, Symbolism, Float, among others. Her productions are full of shrewd, minimalistic sounds – paradoxically enough making up her very maxed-out production style. Ambitious and goal driven, she has just launched her own label called ‘Nerudo’, on which she’s about to release her first 4tracks EP.

Hemka says: “Music plays a vital role in my life. It allows me to clear my head, to express my feelings: my joys, my sorrows, my anger. All that I very often have trouble communicating in a general way.”

For Frenzy, Hemka created a 1h+ mix in which she provides the heavier grooves, containing tracks from fellow artists and own unreleased work. Listen to the sound of Hemka here, enjoy!

Es una de las mentes detrás de Hayes y dirige su propio estudio de masterización: Tema Mastering. El portugués João Rodrigues comenzó su alias Temudo en 2014, después de un período en la escena Drum and Bass. João se describe a sí mismo como un nerd del procesamiento de audio, las técnicas de composición y la resolución de acertijos en la búsqueda de la mezcla perfecta. Su formación en Jazz, una Licenciatura en Sonido y una Maestría en Música y Tecnología le dieron las herramientas para los experimentos poco ortodoxos que realiza en el estudio. Es justo decir que Temudo es uno de los principales personajes del Techno portugués.

Temudo and Cravo are known for their intense and powerful techno sound that combines influences from classic and contemporary techno. As members of the Hayes Collective, they are part of a Portuguese collective of techno artists that also includes artists like VIL and Nørbak. The collective aims to promote techno culture in Portugal and abroad through events, releases, and collaborations. In addition to Hayes, both have released on Klockworks, while Temudo's music also bears the seal of Blueprint or Warm Up and Cravo released on SK11 or Be As One.
