3 lb - roasted beats
21 - blended subs
lots - fresh tuna
1 block - greated cheese
1 bulb - grrr lick


With flavourful notes of seasoned rhythms and a thick saucy punch this recipe has that juicy kick great for entertaining guests or romantic nights alone in your favourite grease bin. Bursting with fresh ear watering tuna seared to perfection, topped with a slice of love and record breaking oh-mega fat levels. Its crispy melodic crust and melt in your mouth bassy centre will have your tapeworm jiggling and ear worm wiggling. A colourful voyage from Gourmet Grizzle-Hop to the Harmonious Hamburger Breaks of Burger World, from Chocolate Espresso Ragga Muffins to Drum and Souffle and much more. Grab a seat at the table, strap on your bibs and enjoy the spread.


Step 1: Preheat speaker system and lightly grease yourself. 

Step 2: Transfer the mixed ingredients to your music dish.

Step 3: Bake for 60min. While baking turn over, wiggle the meat, baste in the frequencies and make “damn this is tasty” faces when necessary.

Step 4: Chill for as long as desired. 

Step 5: Enjoy life.

A long time bass connoisseur with many recipes under his sleeve and a few written down Fat Pat has been hard at work behind the locked doors of his kitchen laboratory cooking up flavours to tantalize taste buds and stimulate stomachs. His Shambhala meal will be a premiere tasting of many locally farmed ingredients by himself and fellow notable chefs. You are cordially invited to sample the audio pairings at the Village Stage Saturday at 6pm.

I hope this finds you all relaxed and contented after enjoying some chill time with fam and friends. I get the feeling right about now you’re getting vibed up for the year to come, making plans and dreaming up schemes, perhaps kicking it all off with a big night out standing in front of a weighty sound system and your favourite DJ this eve.
 
So in celebration of this I wanted to drop a DJ mix on you to complement your holiday chillax, the build up to your big night out, and your year to come in 2013. ‘Bass Nerd Vol III - Trapped in Dub’ is 30 minutes of the tunes I’ve enjoyed over the past 12 months or so, but just the ones with dub and reggae vibes and that 808 drum pressure. They are all tunes I’ve been playing out so it’s kinda  ‘hands in the air’ while at the same time bringing the deeper vibes of the Space Echoes and Psychedelic delays that we know so well from proper dub music. The reggae heads will notice some classic samples from the likes of Pablo Gad, Sister Nancy, Johnny Osbourne, Eeek-a-Mouse and Ding Dong, with and some sweet vocals from Turbulence,  Tippa Irie, Damien Marley, but all of them have sick beats that bring them into 2013 and in many cases well beyond.
 
Here’s to an epic 2013 to you all... Enjoy!
