I've put together a couple Sound Factory retrospectives over the years, but none have made it to my SC page yet. This particular mix is rather old (in fact I dubbed it here from cassette, remember those?) but all of these tracks stand the test of time. I was lucky to be there during the Junior days and this session was basically me channelling that vibe. Lots of Wild Pitch along with Masters at Work, Signal AD and some other tracks that brought me back to being in that room. The title says it all...The Sound Factory was basically a big huge room, with one giant disco ball, four massive speaker columns and a vibe like no other.

In addition to being a DJ and Promoter, Menno Overvliet is an up and coming producer from The Netherlands. His influences include artists from the early techno era like Jeff Mills and the Belleville Three. His first production with Tommy Largo was released on Robsoul with an EP titled 'Raw Steel.' Their track 'Pass It Around' has already been making waves for several months with its delightful sampling from the original B.T. Express song 'Peace Pipe.'
Menno recruited Tommy to become a resident DJ for Amsterdam's Most Wanted radio station in 2012. The formation of this double Dutch duo has proved to be a solid one, with releases coming out on 1200 Traxx and Deepjacking Recordings.

A few records hoyed together that I used to play on Fridays @ Sunderlands coolest music bar, The White Room. Most nights had something on at one point. Me and Olly Roberts held residency for a long time on a Friday night and Ward 10 on a Saturday. 
Fridays were a very eclectic mix of music. We also had other people join us as residents (Craig Hope and Mitch) who brought their own flava to proceedings .Many guests also joined us from different local nights. cheers to them all. 
If you ever came to The White Room on any night you'll know how special it was, Cheers to the staff and especially Ben (The Dictator) Wall for his support always..... hope you enjoy.
