Hailing from Sheffield (UK) Russ now resides in the UAE and has played out at many of Dubai's finer house music gatherings. During a few recent beers we talked about a more dubby, minimal back room tech house vibe (for want of a better description) and two hours later, he drops this mix on us.

It's all of the above, a superbly curated hour of music. We're always over the moon when a DJ takes the time to record that 60(ish) mins of hand picked music and brings something refreshing to the table. Which this certainly does, featuring tracks such Tuleric, Roger Gerressen, Sweelie, Masky and more.

He's co-founder of the most excellent Solid Groove Social Club and has been putting on parties for the finest deep, soulful house and broken beat heads since the early 00s. This mix is a great example of that, some of the very best selections you could wish do hear and yet another testament to the music and scene we had the joy of being a part of in the North East of England.
