I've put together a couple Sound Factory retrospectives over the years, but none have made it to my SC page yet. This particular mix is rather old (in fact I dubbed it here from cassette, remember those?) but all of these tracks stand the test of time. I was lucky to be there during the Junior days and this session was basically me channelling that vibe. Lots of Wild Pitch along with Masters at Work, Signal AD and some other tracks that brought me back to being in that room. The title says it all...The Sound Factory was basically a big huge room, with one giant disco ball, four massive speaker columns and a vibe like no other.

Hailing from Sheffield (UK) Russ now resides in the UAE and has played out at many of Dubai's finer house music gatherings. During a few recent beers we talked about a more dubby, minimal back room tech house vibe (for want of a better description) and two hours later, he drops this mix on us.

It's all of the above, a superbly curated hour of music. We're always over the moon when a DJ takes the time to record that 60(ish) mins of hand picked music and brings something refreshing to the table. Which this certainly does, featuring tracks such Tuleric, Roger Gerressen, Sweelie, Masky and more.
