Wayne W. Hacker hails from Washington State; he realized that the poems he was writing in his free time were in the form of song lyrics. Turns out writing lyrics on paper is simply not enough anymore. So here he is perfectly, imperfectly starting to introduce his work to anyone and everyone. “It’s All About Me” was the first single he released. Currently, he is focused on converting his lyrics into songs as a songwriter. His music leans toward Alternative, Country, and Rock (not in that order). Dream BIG! & Enjoy the Ride. Forged in the chilly grit of Winnipeg in spring 1995, Lost Cause Industry (LCI) is a one-man electro-industrial project that turns lo-fi gear and DIY studio scrappiness into widescreen sonic weirdness. What started with a Casio SA-20, a faithful guitar named Erb, a couple of Shure mics and a Tascam four-track has grown into a dense catalogue of shimmering synth-scapes, bruised beats, and the occasional nightmare pop hook. 

LCI’s music walks the line between cinematic electronica and industrial pulse — instrumental journeys that fold in rap cadence, and ghostly echoes — designed to be felt in headphones as much as on a speaker stack. Over decades of self-released work, LCI has built a private universe of sounds (33+ releases available on Bandcamp), each record a different corridor in the same haunted building. 

Recent years have sharpened LCI’s vision: singles like “Hoar Frost” (Feb 7, 2025) and the 2025 release AUDITORY ODYSSEY showcase an artist equally at home with icy atmospheres and propulsive rhythm drives — music that invites you to lose yourself and then notice how lost you were. Expect immersive textures, unexpected hooks, and a DIY ethos that still thrills like the first four-track tape.
