◾Real Name: Will Cothran

◾Current city: Greenville, SC

◾DJ Collective: Frequency Underground

◾How did you come up with dj name: It’s a combination of my first and last names

◾When did you start djing: I’ve been into electronic music since 2010 but didn’t start djing until 2018

◾Favorite dj moment: Atherea Fest 2019 – it was one of those times where the stars aligned and everything just went perfectly. It was a beautiful fall afternoon in the mountains near Asheville with some great people and the set just seemed to play itself

◾Favorite genre/subgenre to spin: I’ll play anything…I can’t stick to one genre for too long or things start to feel stagnant. Experimentation and variety are a big part of who I am as a DJ. But if I had to pick, it would be minimal. For me, there’s a lot of creative possibilities in the stripped down nature of the music. The tracks have a little more room to breathe and play with each other and most importantly I’m all about that groove!

◾Favorite artists: I don’t really have any favorites. When looking for music I’ll just go down a rabbit hole without paying much attention to who produced the music. It’s always fun to find music made by some guy half way around the world with 50 soundcloud followers and only a handful of plays on his track. Having said all that, some more popular artists I’ve been enjoying lately have been Andre Salmon, Drunken Kong, Josh Wink, Red Axes, and Joris Voorn. 

◾Favorite labels: Again, I don’t really have any die hard loyalty but here’s a few I’m into: Whoyostro, Deeperfect, H.A.S.H.T.A.G., KD Raw, Suara, Scuffed Recordings, Holding Hands, Copycow

September 2021 - Full "Harvest" Moon 

Tonight is The Full Harvest Moon. It is called the Harvest Moon because at the end of September crops that were seeded in Spring are now ready to be harvested. 

This is truly a time of transformation, and the Earth is going through a major shift as it heads into Autumn. We are also each going through a major changes in our lives as the Earth's energy projects onto us. We can utilize these moments of transformation - IN THE DANCE & THE MUSIC - to become what we feel we need to be in order to adapt and find comfort in the upheaval. Pisces will make us feel a little braver and stronger, we may find that we have the courage to do things we were afraid to do in the past. Let us not be limited by our five senses perceptions. Let us simply live, and BE EMBODIED from a place of possibility and alchemy.

Frequency Underground resident, Wilcot, out of Greenville, SC revisits us for the 44th episode of the series in what is perhaps the dubbiest journey yet! The set is incredibly vibey, with an array of emotions swelling from dynamic synths, soft pads, and an underlying groovy house feel.
