🔺FREQUENCY UNDERGROUND INTERVIEW WITH TAYSOM🔻

◾Real Name: Brett Taysom	

◾Current city: Atlanta

◾DJ Collective (if applicable): Non-affiliated 

◾How did you come up with dj name: Everyone looks for a unique alias and my last name is seemingly rare.  I’ve never met another Taysom outside of family, so I just went with that.  

◾When did you start djing: 2003 back in high school, but I took a long break once I went to college and picked it back up in 2017.  

◾Favorite dj moment: In 2019 I dj’d a Fourth of July gathering at night.  The weather was warm, the wind was blowing briskly, and there was heat lightning going off in the background during the whole set.  It felt quite surreal and I can still remember the feeling. 

◾Favorite genre/subgenre to spin: I float around, but typically spin deep house and minimal.  I like to incorporate some breaks when I can.  Always down for some house and soul when the weather’s nice out.

◾Favorite artists: I really enjoy listening to what Black Loops has been spinning and producing these past few years.  Some other names I’ve been enjoying lately include Reyam, Nico Kamienski, Cheise, Dixia Sirong, Jimpster, Ruff Stuff.

◾Favorite labels: To be honest I don’t really follow any labels.  I focus more on the individual artists.
