- This song is the first single of the upcoming album 'Love' . The album started out roughly based on the 12 phases of love thoroughly represented in Arabic literature. During the creation process, it slowly shifted into exploring the complexity of human intimacy and how visceral feelings and vulnerability would sound like if all other senses of expression were lost. at a later, stage most lyrics were based on the writings of Dani Ghassan Arbid. It took form as a necessary expansion on the topic.

This is not your average club set, this one, performed in Beirut the heat of the uprising, provided the crowd with the perfect balance of sensory stimuli and tension release.

Mix made for Fil mishmish anti-annexation anti-colonial anti-racist solidarity campaign 4 Palestine, organized by Radio Alhara and aired on the 11th of July 2020.

This mix begins by desiring and deeming solidarity as a common language we are still collectively learning. The economic, securocratic and militarised models of the world that we have been born into alienates us away from a universalist practice of solidarity and collective care that are equally distributed. We need to unlearn these insulations, coalesce and redistribute. A world solidarity that is deeply sensitive to both the local specificities of every struggle and the global economy of war and dispossession as a common oppressor might be our only hope today. Especially at a time where borders are being exponentially fortified through security bills that terrorize congregation, advance racism and deprive us from our rights to assemble, speak out and be in solidarity. Music has always been a congregational force and if assembling and acting in the unconditional love that is solidarity were not powerful harbingers of an alternate world system, they would have not have been increasingly prohibited by the current deadly and stale ones.

In this tapestry of perpetual snares and decimating kicks, Atoui revisits the past in cunning fashion, a retrospective on Lebanon's arguably most exciting times.
