Emerging from Manchester’s electronic scene, Josh Burnett steps into summer with a first outing on Stacey Pullen’s Blackflag Recordings. Titled 'Jus Tryin', the three-track EP marks a milestone moment for up-and-coming talent, fusing his rolling, percussive grooves with unmistakable UK flavour and earworm R&B vocal chops. 

 “This EP was put together in early 2025 and worked heavily around catchy vocals and rolling drums. I sent ‘Jus Tryin’ over to Stacey a few days later after it was finished, and he was really keen to get this out on Blackflag. I was so pleased when Stacey asked if I wanted to sign this to Blackflag as it’s such a legendary label, run by such a great person. It’s a label I really want to push my sound out to, so it feels great to be finally getting this out. I really hope everyone enjoys the music.” - Josh Burnett. 

With a wealth of experience behind the decks as a resident and a growing reputation across the UK, Burnett has quietly built a name with track support from the likes of Jamie Jones, Marco Carola, Joseph Capriati, wAFF, Mason Collective and more. Simon Jaxx has been playing and producing quality minimal techhouse and electronic music for over 30 years. He starts his musical career and background in the age of 5 year, when he learned to play Piano and Violine. During that time he was trained to play without notes and improvise by ear, to feel and express music. In the early 90ies he buyed his first analogue synthies and started to produce electronic music, infected from the detroit music stuff. His music has appeared on many compilations all over the world and 1998 he starts his first electronic music label "Bunka Records". In this time period he worked and played together with international DJ`s like Damon Wilde, Claude Young, Steve Bug, Felix Da Housecat and many more at different places in the world. 2008 he starts his digital label "Frequently Music" open minded for Newcomers in the worldwide DJ- and Clubscene. Simon Jaxx is well known for his minimal deep techhouse stuff and DJ-Sets, who rumble the dancefloors.
