Any artist is welcome to send us a track via freshonthenet.co.uk anytime between Monday lunchtime and Wednesday evening (or when we receive 200 submissions, whichever is sooner) - and all our moderators, including Tom Robinson, will listen to every track. This is our full inbox from the week beginning Mon 13 June: from Friday afternoon you'll be able to hear our shortlist and pick your favourites on this week's Listening Post which will appear at freshonthenet.co.uk/batch451

If a track you submitted does not appear in this list, it’s probably because another of your tracks appeared in our Fresh Faves or on the BBC Music Introducing Mixtape during the last three months — we ask that artists featured on either wait three months before resubmitting to give others a chance. 

We also don’t accept short previews or SoundCloud Go tracks that can only be heard as 30 second previews, and tracks made private after submission, which cannot be included in playlists. You will be able to resubmit the track in future. Tracks (and remixes of tracks) that have been previously submitted, and tracks from banned artists will also be removed.

A unique collaboration of sight, sound and the past, being, reminiscences of Scotland.

It is a living memory. It is a collection of new music set to archival recordings of those who once lived in the Scottish Highlands and Islands discussing moments of childhood, folklore and people. It is a celebration of the more intricate moments of Scottish and Gaelic culture and a thank you to all it has given so far.

It is not just an album, it is not just a film. We are in the living rooms, we are in the kitchens and around the firesides drinking tea with these people from across time and getting to know them. My music is the radio playing in the corner and the emotions echoing through our minds.

They shall be our companions, our grandparents and our teachers. They had lived a whole life, let us offer them a chance for resurrection, let them tell you a story.

This song is about letting go of an abusive relationship. There’s a lot of fear and doubt that comes with separating yourself from somebody who manipulates you, and it leaves behind feelings of anger, as well as guilt and doubt. You end up questioning everything while simultaneously harbouring a lot of resentment for the person who treated you that way. We wanted this song to feel cathartic and unapologetic—it ultimately feels very healing.

This was written  after hearing Cerys matthews play Georges Brassens song "Parapluie" (we actually got the wrong one and mention a different song of his in the lyrics) on her BBC 6 music show. Where else would you get that on a hungover Sunday morning? It's a celebration of the fun we'd had the night before and listening to that tune the next day.

Boldly Going Nowhere

'The good, The Bad & Pedro's' examines a surreal account of a night out at a local dive bar.

The band decided to re-record the track throughout 2021/22 to better reflect the bands current sound following their evolution from a duo into a five piece. The band will return to the studio in May 2022 to record a new EP with a tentative release date towards the later half of the year,

Due for release towards the end of June to coincide with the bands show at Club academy on June 25th
