If a track you submitted does not appear in this list, it’s probably because another of your tracks appeared in our Fresh Faves or on the BBC Music Introducing Mixtape during the last three months — we ask that artists featured on either wait three months before resubmitting to give others a chance. 

We also don’t accept short previews or SoundCloud Go tracks that can only be heard as 30 second previews, and tracks made private after submission, which cannot be included in playlists. You will be able to resubmit the track in future. Tracks (and remixes of tracks) that have been previously submitted, and tracks from banned artists will also be removed.

The Meaning

Rust & Bones is a new TV show produced by the well acclaimed producer Steven Glockenspielberg. The cast uses a bunch of totally unknown and desperate actors that accepted their roles for few millions dollars only. The story is somehow based on the table game “Clue”.

Upon the death of Godfroy Boneman, the descendants of the Boneman family understood the magnitude of the business opportunity and joined forces with a Saxon banker from Leipzig to create "Boneman & Sacks Relic Asset Management Inc.". Over time, the Boneman and the Sacks family managed the lucrative market of relics in Europe and the rest of Christendom to generate billions of dollars from the supposed virtues of these relics. All the relics that are in deposit or awaiting rent by bishoprics are stored in a 13-storey crypt under the small chapel which in 1033 had been the house of the worshipers of the holy foreskin. Since that time, the alleged miracles and virtues of the holy foreskin have been questioned since 21 samples of the holy foreskin have been found at different ages and colors of Jesus.

Concrete Streets is an upbeat alternative rock song about self care and the importance of taking time away from the 9-5 grind to focus on ourselves and our passions. It features strong vocal harmonies, a catchy chorus and a haunting bridge that all meld into a layered climax.

Singer-Songwriter Taura Lamb is set to unveil her upcoming single 'Crybaby' this October, aligning the emotionally-charged track with World Mental Health Awareness Day on Tuesday, the 10th. Discussing the track, Taura explains;
“I’m someone who cries at everything - be it a wedding, a funeral or a John Lewis Christmas advert, you best believe I will be tearing up. This song is about a time when I felt I needed to mask the crybaby in me a little, it was time for me to be somebody else’s rock and let them cry all the tears. It’s saying ‘I’m going to be so so strong in this moment, for once, so that you can completely and utterly collapse if you need to. I’ll be here to talk it out at any time, on any day, and you are allowed to break down, I’ve got you.”

The track is stripped back to Taura’s smooth-yet-heartbreaking vocals and keys-genius ‘Swoope’s delicate piano, with the addition of just strings and a choir. The song's sophistication lies in its simplicity, allowing its poignant lyrics to weave an important narrative of vulnerability and human connection.

This song began life on a road trip in a red transit van, going from Belgium to Portugal for a new years Eve folk gathering. The lyrics were inspired by the story of one of our travel companions who joined us last minute after seeing our callout on social media. She’d recently broken up with her boyfriend and decided that a spontaneous 2320 mile adventure with total strangers was just what she needed.

Captain Starlet return with their new single release ‘self-portrait.’ Recorded at Young Thugs studios over a weekend in April, the track sees the band broadening their sonic horizons whilst also staying true to their melodic and vibrant style.   

Brothers Tom (vox, guitar) and Ethan (guitar) Carroll work in tandem; the former’s bright vocals are compliment by the latter’s jangly guitar playing to create something powerful and compelling. The locked-in synergy of Sam Festenstein’s (bass) and Cam Baker’s (drums) playing carries the track through towards its manic finale.

The original lyrical inspiration for 'The Weight' came from an old Public Information Film from 1975 that I remember watching as a child. It was produced to try and encourage children to brush their teeth with a hippopotamus talking to a tiger about Jeremy the lion who has a roaring toothache...
