Any artist is welcome to send us a track via freshonthenet.co.uk anytime between Monday lunchtime and Wednesday evening (or when we receive 200 submissions, whichever is sooner) - and all our moderators, including Tom Robinson, will listen to every track. If a track you submitted does not appear in this list, it’s probably because another of your tracks appeared in our Fresh Faves or on the BBC Music Introducing Mixtape during the last three months — we ask that artists featured on either wait three months before resubmitting to give others a chance. 

We also don’t accept short previews or SoundCloud Go tracks that can only be heard as 30 second previews, and tracks made private after submission, which cannot be included in playlists. You will be able to resubmit the track in future. Tracks (and remixes of tracks) that have been previously submitted, and tracks from banned artists will also be removed.

Championed by Gary Crowley on BBC Radio London and Playlisted on Amazing Radio's A List, with BBC Radio Wales support from Huw Stephens and Adam Walton, North Wales Indie-Psych Band Holy Coves have had quite a year so far. They share a brand new single called 'Away We Go' before their highly anticipated new 'Druids And Bards' album is released via Yr Wyddfa Records on the 14th of October.

Through long time friend and Producer David Wrench, 'Holy Coves' were put in touch with Texan Producer Erik Wofford (The Black Angels / Explosions In The Sky) and have built quite a magical working relationship, one where Wofford found himself on Mixing and Mastering duties for the material and certainly contributes to their new sound.

North Wales Psychedelic rock band 'Holy Coves' are poised to release their brand new single 'The Hurt Within' on Friday 25th of March via 'Yr Wyddfa Records'.

Lead by Welsh Singer-Songwriter Scott Marsden, 'Holy Coves' find themselves crossing an unseen threshold on a fantastical new journey where new psych-hazed material spells an exciting new era for the collective.

Dropping swiftly into the slip-stream and following on from the successful 'The Hurt Within' which was released last month, 'Desert Storm' really sets the psych mood with droney riffs, hazy vocals on an epic musical landscape.

The original lyrical inspiration for 'The Weight' came from an old Public Information Film from 1975 that I remember watching as a child. It was produced to try and encourage children to brush their teeth with a hippopotamus talking to a tiger about Jeremy the lion who has a roaring toothache...

The Weight

Welsh Awen Rock band from Anglesey, North Wales led by singer songwriter Scott Marsden. Fresh from packed out festival slots at the likes of Focus Wales, Isle Of Wight Festival and sold out tour dates all across the UK.

Since the release of their critically acclaimed award winning album, 'Druids and Bards' released on Welsh independent record label Snowdonia Records, the record has been championed by John Kennedy on Radio X, Gary Crowley on BBC Radio London and playlisted on Amazing Radio's A List, Steve Lamacq on BBC 6 Music and with BBC Radio Wales support from Huw Stephens and Adam Walton, and huge Louder Than War Radio support from Iain Key & Neil Crud.

It's fair to say that the North Wales band have had quite the year! The bands third album 'Druids and Bards' received numerous album of the year nominations including Louder Than War's top 100 albums of the year. It also made the long list of nominees for the Welsh Music Prize and was winner of Tiwn Media Album of the Year 2023.
