Zames Colbro was introduced to underground dance music as a teenager, dancing in night clubs and underground venues in New York City.  At the time, NYC was one of the underground music meccas in the world which gave him exposure to many facets of the burgeoning scene. He was initially hooked by the Acid Techno/Trance that ruled the dancefloor at the time. Over time he developed a love and appreciation for all types of underground electronic music, particularly hardhouse and NY style tribal that was starting to take hold.

A few years later, Zames's attention moved from the dancefloor to the DJ decks. Wanting to hear mixes that blended different styles, he began playing with friends on shared turn tables. He began to establish himself playing under a different name in such legendary clubs as Club Cheetah, The Tunnel and holding a residency at the Limelight. He also spent a year in East Anglia England, DJing at local clubs and bars there.

After awhile, he took some time away from playing to pursue other career interests. However, the creative fire never burned out and in 2015, he decided to pick back up again after a 12 year hiatus. He purchased a digital controller, and began trying to re-establish himself as one who always plays the best in underground. No matter what style of dance. Never one to shy away from a difficult or long mix (or EVER rely on a synch feature), he crafts “artisanal” sets. You will hear the human behind the machine blending layers and frequencies, for mixing time that would put even the big boys under pressure.

Now a recent transplant to Puerto Rico, Zames is eager to bring his underground style of mxing to the new ears and faces in the region.
