Bennelux, a duo consisting of Lux Familiar and Benncart has come a long way since kicking off their series of footwork EP's over a year and half ago. While honing their production skills with every release they have managed to receive much acclaim and support by the likes of Addison Groove, Om Unit or Traxman. Shortwhile after dropping the third installment, the Polish Juke members are back with the final part. Arguably their finest offering to date, "4/4" focuses on a more melodic spectrum of the fast-pasted, bass-oriented music native to the city of Chicago. The EP opens with "Knockin' Doors Down (Deep Burnt)", which utilizes a Freddie Hubbard sample used famously in a beloved deep house classic "Deep Burnt" by Pepe Bradock. Complex arrangment, ever-changing rhythmic patterns and a cavalcade of sounds lifted from numerous sources make up one of Bennelux's most impressive tracks. "Whatcha Need?" follows with a similar, laid-back vibe, combining beefed-up drums with a chilled out sample and vocal chops, making it a track suitable for both club and home environments. "Together" is a hard-hitting footwork take on 1995 Omni Trio track of the same name, ready to set off any dance floor on fire. The climatic finale comes with "(We Will Be Here) Forever" , a deep mixture of dreamy chords, loads of low end and KRS-One vocal samples, which make a bold statement about the duo's plans for the future. Now, after their four-part series has come to an end, Benncart and Lux will focus on finishing their album, for which every fan of footwork music should be on the lookout for.

National Bail Out is a Black-led and Black-centered collective of abolitionist organizers, lawyers and activists building a community-based movement to support our folks and end systems of pretrial detention and ultimately mass incarceration.

Teklife's DJ MANNY delivered a soulful juke heater on "Its What U Need RMX". His contribution to the previous Street Bangers Factory release got him to become the face of the Juke & Footwork official playlist on Spotify. In 2020 he delivered bangers after bangers with fire self releases on his bandcamp and official remixes for Paul Johnson. Lacey Mundaca aka FreshtillDef is a footwork and bass artist hailing from San Antonio, Texas. FreshtilDef’s production style can be described as melodic blends of classic 808-driven footwork and juke, southern hip-hop, dnb, jungle and rave music, rolled into one – An exciting energy that is equally matched in her DJ sets. 

FreshtillDef started Freshmoon Records with her main collaborator MoonDoctor in 2012, and her breakout debut came in 2013 as a featured artist (and member of Teklife) on DJ Rashad’s “I Don’t Give A F*ck” EP on Kode9’s iconic label Hyperdub.  Since that time, FreshtillDef has produced with footwork, juke and other dance artists across various genres, released her first solo EP on Freshmoon in 2015 (Delerium) and has done remixes for Russian artist Pixelord (Twisted Zone, Heka Trax) and Mel G (The Light, Black Marble Collective). FreshtillDef’s latest, the “Vocalize” EP (2019) is her second solo release on Freshmoon Records, and showcases her signature sound at its most versatile. Paired with a steadily growing DJ schedule across North America, FreshtillDef is truly becoming quite a memorable name in the global bass scene.
