Our final free download of the year finds Emi Galvan and D-Nox joining forces for a much-anticipated rework of Underworld’s ‘Dark & Long’. Argentinean DJ and producer Emi Galvin has consistently defied expectations throughout his much-lauded decade-long career. Through the success of early tracks like 2016's ‘Taking Over’ and ‘Universe’, the Buenos Aires resident emerged into one of the progressive scene’s most promising talents. A rich musical background with time spent in rock bands playing guitar and singing gave Emi’s electronic compositions a measurable creative edge. This elusive sound did not go unnoticed as he quickly earned the praise of genre tastemakers Cid Inc, Eelke Kleijn, Guy J, Guy Mantzur, Hernan Cattaneo and Nick Warren; while landing career defining releases via Balance, Sudbeat and The Soundgarden. Meanwhile, hailing from Germany but now based in Brazil, D-Nox has continued to thrill fans with both cutting edge music and enlightening DJ sets. Whether operating in solo capacity or as one half of D-Nox and Beckers, the German artist lays claim to an impressive resume, highlighted by releases on Bedrock, Einmusika, Sudbeat and his own Sprout imprint. Having previously worked together for Guy Mantzur’s Plattenbank imprint, Emi and D-Nox also took to re-imagining Underworld’s ‘Dark & Long’ earlier this year. Now over thirty years old, the Original version was the lead track on the British band’s third and most critically acclaimed album ‘dubnobasswithmyheadman’. As a favourite of Sasha, Digweed and a host of other A-list DJs, there are few productions which have stood the test of time in a more enduring fashion. Ending the year on high note, we’re thrilled to offer Emi and D-Nox’s much requested ‘Dark & Long’ interpretation as a free download. Enjoy.

The Greek artist has been one of his country’s brightest stars in progressive house with a discography that features releases on Hernan Cattaneo’s Sudbeat Music, Beatfreak, Movement Recordings and Proton Music. Of late the Athens resident has been focusing on the more techno inspired spectrum of progressive house. A sound that has lent itself quite well to Way Out West’s classic ‘The Fall’. Released in the year 2000 and remixed by Bedrock, its dark hypnotic motifs were a staple in the sets of many top DJs at the time. The latest installment of our free download series welcomes Henri Hurtig aka Cid Inc back for his third appearance. 2019 proved to be another year of successes for the Finnish artist and Replug label boss. The March release of his well received ‘Via Karela’ EP got the year underway, setting the stage for contributions to Hernan Catteneo’s ‘Balance Presents Sunsetstrip’ compilation and the Armadillo Records ‘Fields, Vol. 1’ collection. October then saw Henri commemorate Replug’s ten-year anniversary with the Orsen collaboration ‘Ten’, before returning to Guy J’s Lost and Found Records with a chart-topping remix of Kasper Koman’s ‘Hi’ to round the year out in style. The beginning of 2020 has been equally inspired, with remixes for Beat Boutique and Einmusika, along with the March release of his acclaimed ‘Citadel’ EP. Having delivered his remake of James Holden’s ‘A Break In The Clouds’ to our series in 2018, Cid Inc now returns with his much requested edit of The Beloved ‘Sweet Harmony’ (Kosmas Epsilon & Zorz 'Northern People' Bootleg Mix). Released in 2004 as a white label only, the track proved impactful, earning play from a broad spectrum of A-list Djs and firmly etching its place in the history of progressive music. Long a favourite of Cid Inc, the Replug boss took to re-editing the classic last year, resulting in months of play from Hernan Cattaneo. Now after much demand we’re happy to offer the track as an exclusive free download. We hope you enjoy it.
