One of the most expressive cuts of IN TECHNICOLOR gets a deserved club update with album collaborator ROOSEVELT's revamp of LES DILETTANTES. Originally a slightly no-wavey narrative sporting the idiosyncratic voicework of MIT's Edi Winarni, the track now pushes back its free-form properties for a heavily disco-infused work-out driven by exquisite hooks and a delibarately jam-like mentality. Edi's singing remains largely unchanged, but reveals unexpected glamour within the new context, making this an appropriately flashy addition to IN TECHNICOLOR REMIXE.

 They put it quite nicely in that song from Tocotronic: "The youth have built it themselves." Tim Vitá & Oliver Gehrmann have been fans of Freude-am-Tanzen for a while now. Currently these inexhaustible and nuts-and-bolts record-spinning dudes - post their digital label debut "136 Tales" - have a vinyl edition on the way. Oliver & Tim are known as solo-artists in the world of warm beats. Tocotronic once more: "We had a few words with them. From there we determined that we like it around here." A full-throated studio session all together brought about the maxim: Let there be house! And "24 Pieces" was in the bag. They seem to posses an affinity for numbers in their titles. Fortunately they paint their sounds not only after such elementary means, but rather with sensual artistry and authentic musicality. From this EP bubbles forth modern house with a melodic sensibility, honoring the past, a hymnic-character, an easiness with the vocals, experimental and the midnight train to the dance floor. Vitá & Gehrmann, a duo which the label name completely personifies. Thank heavens the two have each other...

Aus dieser EP sprudelt moderner House mit Melodie-Sensibilität, Vergangenheits-Verbeugung, Hymnen-Charakter, locker-ungenierten Stimmeneinsatz, Experimentierfreudigkeit und Zug zur Tanzfläche. Vitá & Gehrmann, ein Duo, welches den Labelname komplett in seine Blutbahnen verinnerlicht hat. Gott sei Dank, haben sie beide sich gehabt...

Marble Bar is one of my favorite clubs, ever. A hidden gem in Detroit. I've been there since the beginning when they opened back up during Movement weekend in 2015 with a sunrise set from Thugfucker. The 4 point Void system on the patio is absolutely killer. Thought we were going to be there for a few hours, which turned in to 5.

We’re excited to share the Far Blue perception of Zürich-based Serenne with you today. After catching her live this summer, we were pulled in by the way she blends lush, dreamy sounds with darker moods. While keeping things subtle and immersive, she brings that same energy and depth to this one-hour mix.

“I recently had a conversation with Ben Kaczor, who mentioned an artist I hadn’t heard of before: Hilma af Klint, a Swedish visionary whose work immediately spoke to something inside me. Touched by her paintings, I printed two of her blue-hued pieces — The Ten Largest, No. 1 (1907) and Childhood and Primordial Chaos (1906–1907) — hung them above my setup, and started recording this one-take mix, letting myself drift into the world they opened.

But as I listened back, I found myself entering something else entirely — something that goes beyond those paintings — something deeper, something that transforms. A space beyond sight. That’s where the journey begins for me. And I hope that, for whoever listens, it becomes something personal too. Maybe even a small doorway to something deeper, something invisible… just as Hilma found through her art.

This mix also features beautiful tracks from many dear friends — I feel grateful for each of their creations.”
