NYE Micro Festival

For this episode we invited the fresh RAW signee STEYA - originally from Antwerpen and since the past 5 years based in Berlin. She delivers the rough sound of Germany's capital, not coming short on groovy and detroitesque tracks. Her first release, which can be found on RAW's `Third Eye´ compilation, came out earlier this month and sets the foundation for many more releases to come in the next months and years. We are excited to be part of witnessing the path of this artist! Enjoy.

They are similarly activist and try to share it with her music. Their storytelling sets combine uplifting tracks, fast paced, and raw punchy oldschool rhythms while often surprising the crowd.

Nascido e residido em Maringá, no norte do Paraná, William Marques (William Marqs) começou na música eletrônica em 2016 quando decidiu fazer um curso de discotecagem, mas sua paixão por esse estilo musical surgiu quando ainda era criança, e isso intensificou-se quando começou a frequentar as primeiras pistas de dança.Depois de ter se aventurado em alguns gêneros da música eletrônica como dj, hoje, William se encontrou no Techno e centralizou esforços na produção musical, trazendo em suas faixas elementos característicos do Techno Raw Hipnótico. Influenciado pelos artistas Andre Salata, Arthur Robert, Rene Wise, Ruben Ganev e Quelza, William não mediu esforços para apurar seus dotes criativos e de pesquisa.

Born and residing in Maringá, in the north of Paraná, William Marques (William Marqs) started in electronic music in 2016 when he decided to take a course in DJing, but his passion for this musical style emerged when he was still a child, and this intensified when he began to frequent the first dance floors. After having ventured into some genres of electronic music as a dj, today, William found himself in Techno and focused his efforts on music production, bringing in his tracks characteristic elements of Techno Raw Hypnotic. Influenced by artists Andre Salata, Arthur Robert, Rene Wise, Ruben Ganev and Quelza, William spared no effort to hone his creative and research skills.

He started his adventure with music in 1997 as an MC and producer on the Polish hip-hop scene, since then he has been active in many music genres. After several years of active work on stage as an MC, he focused more on studio production, thanks to which he won, among others, a competition in one of the largest polish radio stations "Trójka" with a trip-hop track, made with Natalia Grosiak. The track was released on a vinyl compilation curated by Junoumi Records. His output is also a numerous of club oriented releases on the following labels: Hypnotic Room, Brainwash, Translucent, Take More Music Records, Luzztro Records, Achromatiq, Substratum Records, Trau-ma, T-records, Elektrax. In 2020, he won a worldwide remix competition on the renowned label ARTS. Currently, he is a resident of one of the leading clubs in Poland - TAMA. He prefers all kinds of techno music. He likes dynamic, dark and emotional sets.
