Been experimenting with some recording equipment recently and had quite a lot of fun multi tracking different instruments (even ones I've never played before!) First tune is one of mine and was named after a party at my dads house where Ginger the cat sat on the sofa looking like he wanted to join in the fun, this is then followed by a couple of great Irish tunes.

I learnt this first tune from a recording of Norwegian singer Kim André Rysstad, he sings it unaccompanied and I just fell in love with the melody. 
I wrote the second tune a few months ago when all the crocuses were out in the nearby park so I aptly named it the Crocus waltz. 
The set is then finished off with two Breton Gavottes.

This is a set played by Tréyes. Freya Rae (flute & clarinet) Louis Bingham (tenor banjo & guitar) Lewis Powell-Reid (cittern and piano accordion) and Andrés Fuzeiro (Percussion). The Non-Breton set is a set of Breton tunes that we learnt and then re-jigged them to sound a bit different.

Freya is a flute, whistle and clarinet player based around the Scottish Borders and the North East of England. She graduated in 2013 with a 1st in performance from Newcastle's Folk and Traditional music degree and now performs in various groups, teaches private instrumental lessons and works as a performer and workshop leader for Live Music
Now. 

She and Louis Bingham have just released their first album Curlicue through Waulk Records. The album incorporates many of the musical styles and influences that have shaped their playing, mainly focusing on traditional music from Ireland, Brittany and many of their own compositions. 

Freya plays a Miyazawa Boehm system silver flute, a Michael Burke D whistle and a Buffet E13 Clarinet.
