since then, we’ve had lots of enthusiastic party chats joint-fangirling over beat bizarre and other psy faves - so this b2b was a long time coming!

New mix for you and its goodie! 

Through the more positive connective powers of the metaverse, we became aware of Takumi after he commented on one of our crews mixes, forging a new friendship and prompting us to add him to a small trance FB community. Sharing music and insightful knowledge of his own involvement in the early 00's trance scene in Japan, naturally linked him with other collectives and label owners who have since hosted his mixes and been able to show case his selector skills.  Missing the boat slightly to extend our own invitation, the excitement when we did has clearly been channeled deeply into providing us with the prefect S:S mix that we're very happy to share.

Beautiful offering for #116 from the depths of France, Javier Salazar (@salazarconnect). I originally discovered their music via a beautiful set at the @monument-podcast festival afterparty on a beautiful farm in Norway. I was completely entranced by their percussive, groovy style. 

Founders of @rdgtribe, they recently put out a beautiful release on the output - somehow both soothing and driving. This mix is a beautiful continuation of that style. Relaxing, hypnotic and bouncy all at once.

Such a pleasure to host ANNX on this month’s show. This guest mix has has been a long time coming, after playing for her at WHOMP back in June 2022 and having her on our very first tentacular party line-up here in Paris. 

ANNX is a wonderful & vibrant DJ but also a lovely human being. She is the mother of WHOMP - a non-profit charity party in London that she co-runs with another absolute boss Lora Mipsum. 

She also runs a new party series with a more psychedelic twist with Amphybian, called MAGICK. If you’re ever in London make sure to check out both as they rock, both in terms of vibes, crowd and line-ups.  

Anna sent over a few words words with her mix : « Whilst prepping for the show I wanted to hone in on the slower more mysterious and deeper side of my music taste. Expect an hour of minimal and deep techno with some organic percussions, bubbles and twangs telling a story with increasing energy and intrigue. Perfect listening for the winter months.

Tentacular - Hewan Aman invite Annx (31.01.23)

Originally from Seoul, South Korea but now based in Amsterdam, @na_one is a producer and DJ whose infectious sounds draw inspiration from the energy of the 90s, coloured with off-kilter shades of trance, acid, techno and ambient. 

Beyond her residencies on @radioradiofm and EOS Radio (@expansionofsound), Naone has stirred audiences at festivals and events across the Netherlands and Europe, taking in the likes of Dekmantel, Zeezout, De School and Macadam. 
On the production front, Naone has kept busy with contributions to releases on @oneyewitness, @dkmntl and @warningberlin following her debut EP on @uttuclub and her infamous joint EP with @s-o-n-s.

Her appearance at our garden party last summer was truly memorable, and we’re excited to welcome Naone back into the Patterns of Perception fold :)

Naone's Patterns of Perception 107 is a warm, mind-expanding excursion which intuitively finds connections between dark, psychedelic grooves of the 90s and the present. Carefully structured and paced, this set oscillates between hazy downtempo and pulsating beats, with a flow that always feels one step ahead. Endless rhythms punctuated by rolling, reverberant percussion. Kaleidoscopic vistas waxing, whirling and eventually, evaporating.
