“É engraçado quando uma tracklist acontece muito naturalmente. Faz algumas semanas que comecei a coletar alguns lançamentos que me prenderam a atenção, e essas músicas começaram aos pouquinhos a formar um Tetris na minha coleção. Brincando com o nu disco, o ítalo disco e o sempre presente house, essa mix é fruto da minha eterna vontade de me movimentar, e com ela a de estar sempre apontado pro que é novo.“

Tuxe é projeto de Iago Novais, designer e artista gráfico que faz parte da mais nova safra de discotecários do rolê paulistano. Nascido em Salvador e criado em Aracaju, participou de bandas locais como guitarrista e tecladista e sempre teve a música eletrônica como um elemento de conexão com a cena de São Paulo, onde hoje mora e busca exercer o seu talento musical discotecando. Tendo Tessuto, da Carlos Capslock, como mentor, o DJ se utiliza do nu disco, ítalo disco, house e techno pra compor atmosferas dançantes e contagiantes.

"Essa mix saiu do jeito que eu considero que deve-se abrir uma pista, comecei trabalhando em bpms mais baixos na casa dos 80 e o passeio foi até 120, misturando lounge, trip hop, deep house e outros grooves."

Marc-lo é nativo de Florianópolis (SC) e atua como DJ e produtor, sendo residente dos núcleos TROOP e Odisseias.

Como produtor, emplacou lançamentos internacionais nas labels Manuscript Records e Moskalus Records, também teve uma música lançada pelo VA Solitude, da Warung Recordings e outro EP pela Radiola Records.

Atuando como dj, dividiu a cabine com artistas como Moodymann, Fred P., Tom Trago, tINI, Ryan Elliot, Lamache, Lowris, Patrice Scott, Sammy D. e outros grandes nomes da música eletrônica.

Seguindo uma seleção refinada, sem rótulos e com sua identidade, busca sempre criar o ambiente perfeito para cada local e momento.

"Nessa mix explorei uma pesquisa imersiva, focada no groove e em texturas atmosféricas, mais afastada do techno rave que costumo tocar. Sinto que esses ritmos mais calmos, fixos e introspectivos invocam uma energia quase que ritualística pra nos despertar, e fui levando a progressão nesse sentido." 

Munir começou na música eletrônica com performances, para então idealizar e produzir as 9 edições da Flagra! e migrar para a música. Em seus sets, costuma mixar um techno de bpm alto, com groove e influências de rave e trance. Busca invocar a a intuição da noite para acordar sentidos, força e consciência.

Síntese
"A ideia pra essa mix é que ela fosse composta por três momentos fundamentais: primeiro, ela chega com força embalada em Breaks marcantes e se desenvolve pra sonoridades mais desinibidas e divertidas, numa mistura de Deep/Tech House atual e House noventista. Lá pela metade da mix surge um estado de "abstração" ou "sonho" - como se perdêssemos completamente contato com a realidade -, embalado principalmente por produções atuais de UK Garage, com graves bem fortes e batidas mais irregulares. Por último, é como se descêssemos das nuvens pra terra, com uma sonoridade mais séria, pé no chão e regular de produções de Progressive House e até uma pitadinha de Techno. Espero que curtam ouvir essa mix tanto quanto eu curti construí-la. Boa viagem! ;)".

Sieben é o projeto através do qual Victor Sieben busca se expressar no vasto universo da música eletrônica. DJ residente de Florianópolis, iniciou seus experimentos com mixagem e pesquisa ainda em 2018, mas foi ao longo de 2019 que se dedicou mais intensamente à busca de novas produções e referências, contando atualmente com uma pesquisa profunda e versátil. Através das mixagens busca sintetizar suas descobertas, tendo como principais referências produções noventistas de House, Progressive House, Breakbeat, Electro, UK Garage e Techno.

i don't really know how to call this mix that i made for our very own record label... surely this is not a "guest" mix and calling it "home" mix is kind of lame, innit?

All i got to say tho, is that this mix-tape is fool of tracks that we've been working on at Long Weekend Records, 99% of them are unreleased and so far only a few people have heard them.

MM Cast 11: Sim Fossil (Mister T Records)

It's been a while since we haven't done any excursions in discoid territories, we've decided to go back to the roots in this new episode, back to the sound where everything  started, both as djs and as a label. 

The guys from Mister T Records have been doing a great job lately releasing a bunch of great editions and mixes signed by artists from the likes of Joutro Mundo, Sim Fossil or Dj Duckcomb among others.

Paris based but originally from Moscow dj, producer and collector shows us this time his vast knowledge and huge repertory of records with an outstanding mix where "funk" will be the leitmotiv of this new MM Cast.

Sim Fossil has always been fascinated by electronic music ,he started producing music at the age of 13 when he found his first inspirations in house and downtempo artists as  King Kooba. Later on in Paris, found his path in music with Mister T Records, calling the attention of well respected djs from the present underground scene.

Detroit Swindle - Vibes & Pepper #40 podcast

Anyone who is a clubber in the South of Brazil, has probably danced to the sound of these two names: Jack District and Marc-lo.

Marc-lo paraded his musical style several times in the cabin of Terraza, a prestigious club with a great history of memorable nights, and of TROOP, collective in which he became a resident in 2016, since then maintaining a constant presence in the events of the label, playing alongside names like Moodymann, Tom Trago, Fred P., Ryan Elliot, tINI and other great artists.

On the other side is Jack District, DJ, audio engineer, music producer, but above all a real lover of House Music. In addition to passing through prestigious clubs in Brazil, he brings in his studio work what is most fresh to dialogue naturally between different styles.

If individually the two already have a very interesting history, together they have done a lot of cool stuff. At the end of last year they released the EP South Wind through Manuscript Records, from Ukraine, they also scored a song on Warung Recordings' newest VA, Solitude and recently released a EP on Brazilian label Radiola Records.
