Born and raised in New Orleans, Q got his started writing raps at 12, making beats at 16, and recording at age 18 before becoming a regular DJ at the infamous St. Roch Bounce Nights. His interests and talents soon broadened to span many genres including House music, which you'll find in this banging mix, bringing his own flavor to every moment of it. Benefit Philadelphia Compilation Vol​. ​1 for Project SAFE(more info at link). https://vagueaudiotapes.bandcamp.com/album/benefit-philadelphia-compilation-vol-1.  The voice is from a guy named Tom O'Bedlam on youtube, who recites poems from various poets... I cut up single words from Bukowski, Ginsberg, and Theodore Roethke, mangling them enough that what was produced became something else entirely.

DITCHDIGGER - HOT ON THE HEELZ OF LOVE - THROBBING GRISTLE COVER

One of the hottest residencies in dance music during the late 90's was the Josh Wink and King Britt's seminal party entitled "The Womb" at Fluid Nightclub. The night started as an outlet for the Ovum co-founders as a residency on the last Wednesday of each month where they could play for they local fanbase an intimate setting as most weekends had them on the road.  Over time the duo invited friends to join them and it became "the party" you had to play whether you were a US artist or someone coming in from abroad. During the residency the likes of Carl Cox, Richie Hawtin, Dubfire, DJ Sneak, and of course our brother Doc Martin joined the dynamic duo. We are happy to share with you this special evening from June of 1997 and Wink, Britt, and Doc took the Philly faithful on epic journey. Kick back and enjoy and please stay safe!
