Hard to believe how time flies – it's been exactly 6 years, 4 months, and 19 days since we released our very first compilation. Back then, everything was new and we had no idea where the journey would take us. Over the years, downtempo has evolved significantly and continuously reinvented itself.

Today, we're releasing our tenth and - for now - final compilation. From the beginning, it was important to us to provide a platform for new and emerging artists – and up until this tenth compilation, we’re proud to say that no artist appeared more than once. For this special occasion, we're breaking with that tradition and have invited several long-time companions to join us in shaping this moment.

A big thank you to all the artists for their contributions, and to all our listeners for your continued support. Special thanks also go to Kilian Van de Water, whose unique style has always played a key role in creating the overall identity of our label.

Berlin-based collab between Leipzig’s @theogramal and Moscow-born @zoe-reijue delivers Endless Skies, a bouncy midtempo groove with Zoe’s spoken vocals and a mix of romantic lyricism, acid synths, and a driving bassline. Written as Zoe moved to Berlin, the track blends her poetic imagery of music as a safe space with Theo’s melodic production. A track built for the dancefloor with a melodic, catchy edge.

"Kamai welcomes Denver, CO-based producer Cereus with a wonderful-2 track EP that dives deep into the hypnotic edge of acid and analog textures.

"Mirage” is anchored by a slow-burning drone while an acid-tinged arpeggio pulses forward, tangled with playful bleeps and warped sonic fragments. It’s a heady track with a dream-like vibe that balances disorientation and groove.

“Truncata” pushes the energy higher, layering sharp 808 percussion and a staccato bassline beneath shifting acid leads. The track’s interwoven melodic patterns play against the rich percussive backdrop, creating a tightly wound rhythm that feels equal parts hypnotic and urgent.

Mirage EP showcases Cereus’ passion for intricate sound design and is equally suited for late-night dance floors and headphone immersion.

Label boss Schtu returns to Casomat with 'The Magician EP', a four-track release showcasing a slightly more nuanced side to his production style - one which he has previously only flirted with. Broken beats, stripped-back basslines, and even a track where, in his own words, "nothing much happens". For the Berlin-based producer and DJ, it’s a step into largely uncharted territory. Still, even though the EP demonstrates diversity in terms of mood and aesthetic, it still retains the melodic sensibilities and sharp arrangements that have become synonymous with Schtu's productions.

So, what to expect? Well, if each of the tracks had to have their own defining role in a kind of Spice Girls-esque arrangement, we'd probably assign them the following; LSD - the clubby one; The Magician - the deep one; Serendipity - the driving one; and Dopamine - the not-four-to-the-floor one.
