Hailing from Manchester, producer and DJ @yung-anz knows what it takes to get the party started. Her self-titled debut EP was released in the summer of 2017, on Manchester club-and-label Chow Down, and was championed by fellow UK club figures like Murlo, Amy Becker and Butterz for its playful, high energy sound - steel percussion blended with UK bassline, half-time 808s, icy grime minimalism and synth polyrhythms. As well as producing her own music, Anz has made beats for grime MCs like Jammz - her track “Mission” featured on his 2016 mixtape, Underdog Season Vol. 1 - and has been honing her DJ skills, often appearing on UK radio stations such as NTS, Rinse and Radar Radio. For the 100th Choice Mix, Anz lets rip, with a riotous hour that, in her own words, “is dedicated to that moment when you decide you’re going out tonight.. the soundtrack to that feeling of anticipation is super important to me. Strictly ‘Friday feeling’ bangers, please use responsibly.”

After a short break we are back on the grid, or in it? DJ Ingrid digs deep to find us big energy within slow soulful grooves. An hour and a half of travel time that is just as heavy as it is soaring through the sky. This Vinyl only expedition (with the exception of the nod to Sydney in the intro) is both a perfect farewell to Summer, and a welcoming for those on the other side of the sphere. Melt away from whichever direction it may be coming from.

From DJing on community radio at the age of 14 and warming up for her father, to cementing herself as a main player on line-ups at incredible parties across London and beyond, she already has an unquestionable pedigree behind the decks.
Her productions are always keen to keep pace with the capital’s thriving grime scene, but her tracks always stand out from the crowd and her beats are authentic to her many musical influences, this episode being testament to that wide array of inspiration. 

Her tastes glide across styles, while always sticking to her own sound: the hypnotic rhythms and irresistible broken beats that have deeply inspired her, and translated through to her outstanding discography.
