Pōneke-based DJ and promoter Lazy Daisy has quickly developed a reputation for dark and stormy sets, which she's thrown down at festivals, clubs, and radio shows up & down Aotearoa. Maddie is also behind LOSST, curating unique dancing experiences in Wellington, with their next event on 29 April at Love Not Lost. She throws down a set replete with breaks and bass.

Ep 292 pt.2 w/ Lazy Daisy

The 5th edition of the Escape the Chaos show features a full takeover by  Sasha Stoned.

From only stepping behind the decks a few months ago, Sasha has quickly developed an exciting-energetic sound, unique to her own infatuation with the dancefloor. Playing her first event back in May organised by the London based DJ school 'Mix Nights,' she has swiftly acquired a keen taste for riling up the dancefloor.

As a close friend and a long time supporter of my own musical endeavours, I'm really proud and excited to have had her taking over the 5th edition of the show. For the takeover, Sasha has provided an aggressive and rowdy mix, serving as a fantastic radio debut.

A reupload of a guest mix from 2015 that I prepared with the idea of juxtaposing the abstract reductionism of the duo SND and the musical genre of Chicago Footwork. 
From the moment I first discovered Footwork in 2010, I felt there were many similarities between this music and what SND and @markfellofficial solo create. The idea has been smouldering in my head ever since then to one day try to bring these two independent but so close sounds together.

Chichi Draving returns to Allergy Season with On My Mind, the first EP under their new alias UwuQi. Redoubling on the playful, outré club sensibility of their past releases, On My Mind is an expansive 4-tracker slinking through the many moods of heady dance music.

Setting the tone, “On It” is a mischievous groover that weaves a giggling web of haunted MIDI harps and mutated vocal chops. “Crush the Piper” reverberates with piano and sawtooths synths slicing through a dubwise beatscape.

“Your World On A Grain Of Salt” ups the tempo and delivers a raving rollick through UwuQi’s world of ecstatic breaks. Exhaling, the EP bubbles to a close with the syncopated drum work and resonant reverence of “Prayers Prayers.”
