For this year's Aotearoa music special, we are joined by Tāmaki Makaurau based selector Oaariki. Oaariki is a deejay, broadcaster, and photographer, who helms ’The Stoop’ on Base FM. He is also well regarded for his annual mix of music from around the motu. This time, we are blessed to share his edition for 2022. 

From Oaariki: "May is the month we celebrate music made in Aotearoa. While the success of our local mainstream talent often attracts most of the limelight this time of year, it’s easy to forget there is an incredibly diverse range of artists making music under the commercial radar.
This eclectic mix assembles and blends a collection of underground gems in appreciation of those artists."

Invisible Sounds with DONE DEAL. This show is a guest mix from DONE DEAL a dj from Póvoa de Varzim, Portugal who's been working at a Porto record store as a clerk for 15 years. His mix 'Sermon' is a soundtrack exercise where he cut out recordings from US religious cults and cut and pasted mostly a dungeon synth and indie music selection.

Omit Salem is part of the Callshop crew and co-host of the EJ Mañana Morningshow. Coming from Frankfurt, now based in Dresden and soon to be in Berlin. 

Beeing musically very versatile, he is not only a very good morning show host but also a great club DJ. For this show we played lots of percussive stuff, some dubby bass music and a few brand new club edits.
