This set was recorded live at Æden in Berlin on the weekend of 9th & 10th June 2025. With thanks to our friends at SoundCloud for helping us to make this set available.

MCR-T is the high-voltage techno alias of Berlin artist Julian McCarthy. Known for his bold voice and genre-blurring sound, MCR-T fuses hard techno with Miami bass, rap and rave energy—earning him a reputation as “Berlin’s answer to Miami Bass” from Berghain bookers.

He’s a regular at iconic venues like Berghain and Golden Pudel, and has lit up stages at MELT, BAU MICH AUF and Hafen 49. Often collaborating with DJ Gigola, Partiboi69, and his sister Catlaine, MCR-T delivers raw, bass-heavy sets that bounce between playfulness and pressure.

After using the pandemic downtime to hone his sound in the studio, MCR-T is now channeling that energy into his debut album—a statement of intent from one of Berlin’s most exciting underground voices.
