With a deep love and vast knowledge of music, plus a dedication to uplifting the careers of other women, Tessa Young has carved out a niche for herself as both a DJ and an agent. She launched her career behind the decks over a decade ago and has gone to play numerous venues, private parties, weddings and corporate events. She has played TwitchCon's Broadcaster Royale Omen Challenge and Vans Girls and Women skate events, as well as provided the tunes for a wide range of clients, including City of Hope and Too Faced Cosmetics.

Early in her career, people often told Tessa that they had difficulty finding women who DJ. In response, she launched Prism DJs as a full-service agency that pairs clients with women who will build the soundtracks for parties, weddings and events. Prism DJs began in 2015 with a roster of four DJs. Today, Tessa works with a network of 30 whose specialties range from hip-hop to house to indie dance. "It became a passion," she says, "to get women more work."

Tessa works with potential clients to discern what music and atmosphere they envision for their events before pairing them with the perfect DJ. Looking for house music with an upscale, lounge vibe? Need '90s throwbacks for a birthday party? She has someone in mind for you.

Prism DJs has provided two scholarships for teenage girls to attend Camp Spinoff, where Tessa has volunteered in 2018 and 2019. Recently, Prism DJs has also held fundraisers for the Black Lives Matter movement and Downtown Women's Center.

No Way Jose is a Tex-Mex, rockabilly, rock n roll, punk, ska, latin alternative band from San Antonio, TX. A couple of their influences range from Texas Tornados, Billy Bacon and the Forbidden Pigs, Fito Olivarez, Los Lobos, Los Tigres Del Norte, Ramon Ayala, Ritchie Valens, The Ramones, Little Richard, Nick Curran, The Skatalites, and The Stray Cats to name a few. They have been featured on radio stations such as: Indie 103.1FM, KJLA - LATV, Mania TV, El Calabozo Radio, KXLU 88.9 FM, KSCR Radio 1560AM, KMXN 94.3 FM, KULV 107.9, Titan Internet Radio, on print and website such as Skratch Magazine, Alborde, Absolutepunk.net Drivenfaroff.com, and Campus Circle. NWJ has toured in the US, Mexico, UK, Wales and Scotland with no label support.

Founding member Jose started No Way Jose, in December of 2001 in Los Angeles, CA, but has now relocated as of late 2014 to San Antonio, Texas.

In the summer of 2006, No Way Jose was selected to play the Hot Topic Kevin Says Stage at The Vans Warped Tour. The following year the band headed into the studio to record their much anticipated EP with Ian Petersen (Pennywise, Society Parasites, Time Again) at Westbeach Recorders who's biggest clients include: Rancid, Offspring, Blink 182, Sublime, Pennywise, Bad Religion, Face to Face, NOFX, and MXPX. NWJ released their EP on Pee Shy Records in the summer of 2007 and made the top 12 on Rock Latin Alternativo charts in the US alongside mainstream Latin international acts such as: Panda, Alison, Café Tacuba, Molotov, Motel, Jumbo, and Manu Chao amongst others. NWJ has been featured on Music TV channels Latination, & SITV gaining a lot of exposure throughout the Latin community in the US. No Way Jose made the top 3 for MTV3s Best LA Breakout Band out of 116 bands in the Los Angeles Area, got airtime and exposure on MTV3 Time Warner Cable on DEMAND. 

No Way Jose went back in the studio in late 2012 to record their next album consisting of 10 songs recorded, mastered and co produced by David Irish (Reel Big Fish, Chop Tops, Lee Scratch Perry and Rezurex). Unfortunately the CD was never released. 

In the fall of 2014, Jose got an offer to join his great friends from Piñata Protest, eventually putting the band on hold and moving to San Antonio, Texas.

While living in San Antonio, Jose met Richie Brown and Richard Rodriguez from local band The Hares and former members of renowned psychobilly band Mariachi Del Infierno. After a couple of jam sessions, he decided to recruit and welcome them to the group. Currently, the band is working on new material and is excited to start playing shows.
