As usual haben wir auch Markus alias @transluciddream um einen Mix gebeten, den wir im Rahmen unserer Spot On Reihe auf veröffentlichen. Passend: mit der Disco-Orientierung steht der Mix in starkem Kontrast zum Album.

"Funky Musik spielt schon immer einen großen Part in meinem Repertoire. Leider ergibt sich nicht so oft die Möglichkeit, diese Musik vor einer großen Menge zu spielen. Bei den Partys vom Plattenladen </em>Sound Metaphors<em> ist das aber anders, denn da dreht sich alles um die energiereichen 70er, in denen Disco ihren Höhepunkt hatte. Gefesselt von der Ästhetik, habe ich mit diesem Mix versucht ein paar der unbekannteren Stücke zu fusionieren. Ich hoffe der Mix versetzt euch, genau so wie mich, in den Vibe von Unbeschwertheit und Freude."

Spot on – Translucid

Sounds Of Ogigia is a new label inspired by ancient Greek gnosis, ritual practices and deviant sounds. 

The label is a crossover from the homonymous show for the Edinburgh based EH-FM which is presented by dj and promoter Pako Vega since August 2018.

The first release is by one of the strongest names in the game these days: Aggelos Baltas aka Anatolian Weapons @anatolianweapons. 

On this occasion, the Greek man is delivering a full-on eclectic EP with his unique ethnic touch. This four-track EP is a delicacy for the nonconformists; going from a Psych-Rock exploration and Dancehall rhythms to cathartic Slow-Chug and EBM belters.

The EP will be release digitally only on 21.11.2020 exclusively via Bandcamp.

Anatolian Weapons - Cause And Effect EP (SOO01) [Snippets]

We're very excited to start the first series of the month with a b2b by @maturre Records founders @poperttelli and @vonverhille. The two friends started the Berlin-based label back in 2016 which releases limited edition tapes and vinyl exploring electronic music in its multiple forms. Vonverhille released 'Sir Lewis Street' this summer on the imprint. The GF team have had Poperttelli's 'Exotic Matter' release on @brokntoys on repeat for some time and have been following the artist closely ever since. This mystical session patiently builds up with lush sounds and textures, creating a cinematic experience from beginning to its climactic end. Lock in!
