In the last couple years I've had less and less time to spend wit my absolute main people, and I've also been making a new recordddd. So i wanted to get all these people together and have an evening in london and play them some of the tunes and jus have a nice time really.  Some of the songs on this are on the record that ive jus finished/am finishing (😉). Watching this evening unfold jus puts an real infinity smile on my face. Rooftop Live (Arun’s Roof, London)

A full four hours of the main man Caribou, recorded live at The Cause last summer. What more could you want to chase the blues away?

Dan Snaith is one of the most enduring figures in 21st century electronic music. From early records as Manitoba, to 2010's Swim (which RA called Album of the Year in a runaway vote), to Grammy-winning 2014 hit album Our Love, as well as ongoing collaborations with Four Tet and dance floor excursions under his Daphni alias, the Canadian DJ-producer is a fixture for a reason.

Ahead of a Caribou (Full Band) tour across the UK and Europe starting in February, we can now let loose the full four hour recording of his RA Live from 2024. 

In it, Snaith goes in hard, rolling out bassy, wobbly and fidgety heaters, running through everything from speed garage and UK funky to Afro house and anthemic deep house—and even a sprinkle of Stevie Wonder for good measure. It's what he truly does best: bangers on bangers (and more bangers).

Swedish disco trio FRANGIE revisit last year’s ‘Rice & Beans’ with this exceptional version trove. Four of the five remixes are locally sourced and each one of them hits the dancefloor target.

Newcomer Storken, fresh from his Running Back debut, delivers full-on electro pop reverie in the form of his remix of ‘Opak Silence’. Reducing the epic 11 minute original into a Yazoo-level thrill-fest, it’s all about the energy, soul and lavish, vibrant synths.

Storken is joined by more exciting Swedish new-generation leaders; Tora Vinter adds to her growing body of work on BROR with an evocative, synth-lapped proggish take on ‘Rice & Beans’ while Parallax Deep’s infamous live vibe can be felt in every inch of her stripped-back twist of ‘Opak Intro’ with rolling, rippling undulating twists and stacks of minimal tension.

Deeper into the EP we glide… Rub N Tug’s Eric Duncan is the perfect choice to remix ‘Night Time’ as he tears it down and rebuilds it with an overwhelming disco fatness, additional live drums by Rafi Muhammad that pumps hypnotically and drops into those divine funk chords of the original.

The release is shut down by one of the biggest Swedish legends in our discourse: Joel Mull. Taking ‘We Vibe’ and turning it completely inside out with thundering kicks, dubby synth washes and microscopic details lurking in all the right spaces, Joel takes us so deep into his cave we’re almost out the other side. We vibe, we rave, we dance, we want more…
