Tigerskin and a host of top-notch producers including Gui Boratto, H.O.S.H., Kiloo, Kikiorix, Abyss and Pupkulies, we encounter elements of modern electronic music that are rich, pristine and simply beautiful. From catchy underground pop to compelling dancefloor house tracks, this album is quite literally a long player, richly laden with moving, timeless vocals from songwriters such as Ian Whitelaw, Ruben, Rebecca, Louie Austen, George Levin and actress Nadeshda Brennicke. With Miami Music Week just around the corner, Smoke N' Mirrors is proud to present alongside their "Inside/Out" Winter Music Conference party a compilation featuring the best of the label, from artists such as Crazy P, Death on the Balcony, Edit Murphy and Thugfucker. 

Including three brand-new, unreleased tracks, this comp reflects the forward-thinking, deep n' disco sound that Smoke N' Mirrors is quickly becoming known for. The release starts off strong with a brand new remix of Crazy P's smash hit of the year, "Heartbreaker", from Bristolian power-duo Waifs & Strays. Gems like The Revenge's Pressure Dub remix of Body Language (whom Pitchfork describes as "music designed for remixes") will transfix you with it's throbbing chords and tight percussives, while Hot Toddy's "Mutha Sucka" adds a classic vibe with hot-n-bothered bass and soaring synths. SHOW-B's remix of Ian Pooley builds it's way to ultimate bliss upon gauzy, filtered layers while Shiny Objects' "Higher Ground" (featuring Michael Marshall, vocalist from the legendary hip-hop classic “I Got 5 On It,”) is deep, soulful and persuasive.

This 10-track compilation will give you tastes of cosmic funk, acid-y analogue sensibilities, throbbing underground deep-tech and more: everything you need to take you from late-nights to early-morning and all of the debauched hours in between.

Dale Howard is back on NM2 and this time on his own with this fine “Slot 47 EP”.
Mr. Howard doesnt really need a big introduction as he has been on the radar of almost every big dj for the last couple of years.

Dale is highly influenced by the garage house from back in the 90s and its noticable on the “Slot 47 EP” although we feel he is showcasing different sides of his production skills with this EP. From Slot 47 which is super deep but a very functional club track to the catchy “Dance With Me” which is more for the early hours (or late) and poolside action.

If the members of the "From disco to disko" team had chosen to buy guitars at the age of fifteen, the story would certainly have been different. But, as we are just entering the 2000s, as the club culture has finished flooding Europe's biggest cities, turntables have become a dream come true, even in Corsica. To use these turntables you need records. When they can't find them at the only dealer in the Bastia region, they order them (or steal them in dubious mp3 versions) on the web.
It is precisely this tool, the Internet, that shakes up their certainties at the dawn of their twenties. Myspace, Reason, the Fluokids... the Mediterranean fades away, Calvi on the rocks explodes, nothing will ever be like before. These island festivals they skimmed, as party people, as artists. As the years go by, their transversal tastes assert themselves.
In 2017, the monthly From disco to disko evenings were born, leading to the creation of an eponymous label in early 2019, a new medium to express their multifaceted love of dance music. 
Italo, dark disco, electronica, the now modest label owners Valerj & Alto Kango are fond of uninhibited evening sets, built to last. Elegant warm-up or end-of-the-night "plasticage", it's hard to know which way to dance with them.
