Since 1991, Tresor has provided a home for artists to develop their ideas for advanced new sounds and broadcast them to the world. The pioneers that first traversed the Detroit-Berlin connection and were at the forefront of a new cultural movement gave to Tresor its original and continuing mission: community, resistance and reshaping the world to come.

The Tresor 30 compilation represents a major landmark in this continuing history of electronic music. This unique collection of music profiles some of the artists that gave the previous three decades of Tresor its sound and foundation, but it also casts its gaze forward. Writing new postcards from the future, this collection brings new artists who maintain a connection to that original mission to the fore, charting ways in which this ethos can continue to build bridges and break walls in the next 30 years.

Bringing together 52 essential tracks - both classics and exclusive commissions - each of the 12 records in this box-set charts a unique line of flight from those artists that helped define the shape of this new music to those who continue to pattern its landscape further.

The water was calm and still. The fountain which sat perched amidst the middle of the pond was beautifully illuminated by the glow of flickering lights and beaming golden tapestry. Sat perched upon a bench she watched the people walk past, very few even glanced towards the the magnificent feature. They were absorbed in their own little worlds, busy distracted by ambitious prospects and bothersome thoughts. The bench was cold beneath her weight as she perched, this was the same spot that she had visited for many years. It always felt like home. 

Sevensol & Bender are the enigmatic duo behind KANN, a label which has been home to the likes of Traumprinz, Llewellyn, Sven Tasnadi and more. The pair have contributed a number of EP's themselves to the label, however their latest might be the most special to date. A truly beautiful EP set for release on the 16th of February next month.

Making their debut on Eskimo Recordings this March, Berlin producers Franz Matthews & Local Suicide’s ‘Meditation / Tutan Jamon' was a heady brew of psychedelic disco that joined the dots between the German capital and the sun soaked souks of North Africa. 

Hailed as “propulsive and zen” by Resident Advisor and championed by DJs including Dj T, Red Axes, Perel & Acid Washed, the tracks have now been giving a fresh rub, with Eskimo going one better even than the genie from the Arabian Nights and fulfilling 4 wishes summoning up remixes from Manfredas, Chaim, NTEIBINT and The Oddness.

First out of the trap is Lithuanian producer Manfredas. Having made a name for himself with releases on labels like Les Disques de la Mort, Multi Culti and I’m A Cliché, Manfredas turns in a head spinning remix of Tutan Jamon, teasing out and extending the track in a masterclass of delayed gratification that eventually dissolves into acidic bleeps and drones. https://soundcloud.com/manfredas

Tel Aviv’s Chaim remix of Tutan Jamon meanwhile sees the sometime Bpitch Control and Disco Halal producer up the tempo whilst losing none of the original’s exotic vibe. In his hands the track becomes a propulsive and trippy disco number perfect for late summer parties under the stars.

Eskimo stalwart NTEIBINT is up next with his reinterpretation of Meditation. Once again the Greek producer goes to show just why the label has him on speed dial, delivering a stunning remix with Vamparela’s vocals and a hypnotic bass line combining to mesmerising effect.

Finally fresh from remixing Satin Jackets Australian rising star The Oddness returns to Eskimo with his own spaced out take on Meditation. Keeping the tempo slow and low the Melbourne producer unravels the track, pulling apart its constituent parts and allowing them all to float free.
