For the second year in a row, we are excited to share with you the Front Republic 2022 Closing Set ! This was a special moment with all the beautiful souls on the dance floor ... The energy was just magical!

Here is the live recording of my set at this year’s Front Republic festival. 

That gig is definitely one of my highlights of this past Summer. Front Republic is such an incredible festival and at the heart of its success is its community. I still remember how responsive, attentive and passionate the crowd was during my set. It brings back such great memories and puts a smile on my face when I remember all the familiar faces and new ones I met during that day. The energy of the crowd during my set was phenomenal and even though I only had 1 hour and ½ to write a musical story, I found a way to play the unexpected and it was amazing. Two of my unreleased tracks are found in there, which will both be released early in 2023. I truly hope you’ll enjoy this musical journey as much as I enjoyed writing it.

APOENA is a House Music artist from Brazil. His tracks are played by DJs as Derrick May, Laurent Garnier, Delano Smith, Luke Hess, Burnski, to name a few. Having begun with vinyl releases on labels such as Autoreply and Underground Quality, APOENA controls now his own Allnite Music imprint and in 2022 joined the classic labels Freerange and Nite Grooves. 
The brazilian producer have 23 years DJ experience in his home country, playing important stages there like D-Edge, Colours, Levels and running his own parties. Recently moved to Berlin, APOENA had allready played in clubs like Sisyphos, Kitkat, Golden Gate, Anomalie, Ipse, Christa Kupfer and more.

I'm super happy to be able to share this recording with you, from what was one of my favourite musical gatherings of the year last year. So many friends and familiar faces as well as new beautiful people, all dancing barefoot in the sand with such an amazing energy having connected through breathwork, yoga, ceremony, river swims, and 2 days of shared festival energy and music. I picked things up from Horla and Aura Jade who did a great job building an amazing uplifting energy through the sunny Sunday afternoon. I started playing at 4pm when the sun was still bathing the dancefloor, the sky mostly clear, no worrying signs of the storm on the forecast. After about an hour of fun, dark clouds started rolling in, hiding the sun and bringing with it super strong winds and a total downpour. The canopy over the dancefloor started billowing, the people started going wild, howling and screaming, dancing like crazy, giving all their energy back to the storm through the music, surrendering completely to the moment! After some time the storm started to settle and we started floating. As we landed at the end of my time, the setting sun started to poke through the rain clouds and Opposite Direktion took over and closed the stage with an awesome performance. It's an evening I know I will remember for a long time and am so grateful have shared and co-created with all the amazing people there.
