The rāga saga is a series that acts as a cultural collectiva of our favourite artists from all over, Each raga is an array of melodic structures with musical motifs, considered in the Indian tradition to have the ability to "colour the mind" and affect the emotions of the audience and this special journey (raga) On the 223rd edition we welcome @maximilian-wehner

We look forward to the musical journey of Maximilian Wehner alias WAYHNA, who has just moved to Berlin.

Collecting the finest sounds for over 10 years. Having lived through virtually all electronic genres, his sets today are characterised by organic, but also very twisted tones. It used to be mainly in the 100 bpm range, but has now settled between 100-120 - or let's call it grooved!

His sets are always a spontaneous development, created by the people on site and thus best describe the moment as he perceives it.
This is how this mix was created around the New Year, which he was allowed to share with long-time friends.

Maybe one or the other track will bring back some summer memories and let you hike through the mellow March in a more relaxed way.

Dubai-based Persian DJ Phellix is set to make his mark with his latest EP 'Saadi', released on Alt Orient's record label. Phellix's unique take on 'Organic House' infuses Persian influences and lyricism with deep, organic production, resulting in a 4-track EP that takes listeners on an unforgettable musical journey.

The EP opens with 'Straggler Setar,' a mesmerizing track featuring the oud and hypnotizing vocals of Rohab. The track's driving rhythm and intricate production showcase Phellix's exceptional skill and creativity.

Next up is the title track 'Saadi,' which first appeared on Alt Orient's 'Baba's VA' compilation album. The track features the talented Iranian singer Amir Sheykh, whose deep vocals perfectly
complement the uplifting synths and infectious rhythm.

'Sanama' is a hauntingly beautiful track that showcases Amir's vocals once again, accompanied by expertly crafted percussion that keeps the listener fully engaged throughout the song. The EP
closes with 'Vision of You', a groovy track that features the magical voice of Sheenubb. The deep elements of the track envelop the listener, leaving them wanting more.

In addition to the EP, DJ Phellix's 'Sanama' track has been remixed by industry veteran Namito. The new version features Amir's vocals set against a spacey, bouncy, and mesmerizing backdrop that is sure to delight listeners.

Originaire de Lyon et étudiant en mode à Milan, Automated Desire a toujours eu ce besoin d'explorer et de créer, en s'informant sur la peinture, le cinéma, les arts visuels... Mais son dévouement s'exprime surtout en musique. Il commence très tôt à composer du dubstep, pour ensuite trouver sa voie dans la Dub, la Drum&Bass et le Breakbeat.

A travers son premier EP solo, l'artiste propose un voyage visceral vers l'autodestruction et l’abandon de soi, illustré par des sonorités raw et chromées, résultat d’un croisement entre le Dub, le Garage et la Jungle. Le résultat est un projet qui peut aussi bien être écouté en concert qu’en pleine virée nocturne.

Coming from Lyon and studying Fashion Design in Milan, Automated Desire has always felt an urge to explore and create, by learning about painting, cinema, visual arts... But his dedication is mostly expressed in music. He first began to compose dubstep, and then found his way in Dub, Drum&Bass and Breakbeat.

Through his debut solo EP, the artist offers a visceral journey towards self-destruction and abandonment, illustrated by raw and chrome sounds, the result of a crossing between Dub, Garage and Jungle. Détérioration is a project that can be listened to in a concert as well as coming back home after a night out.

About this edit
"Estrella Morente is undoubtedly my favourite flamenco singer. Last year, I had the pleasure to visit Andalusia for the first time and as I expected I was quickly fascinated by its beautiful landscapes, entrancing music and rich culture. I then decided to pay tribute through this Edit by the one and only Estrella.

The song demonizes superstition in the truest sense of the word 😂... I personally just like the message that you shouldn't look back or too much into the future... especially when you're rocking out at a party, then these moments are magical and somehow infinite. This and the catchy riffs and chords then tempted me to push the song a little bit towards the dance floor with a gently modified arrangement.

Sindh kicks on with a third release here, a second in the Komudo Series. It features four original tracks "focusing on mind and body movement." Senses' opens up with a trippy blend of sleek minimal rhythms and paranoid vocal loops and 'Gataka' then layers up curling synths and jacked drums with some eerie late-night menace. 'Vulcan' then picks up the pace with another lithe and classy techno pumper then gets you into a hypnotic state and 'Sky Fusion' brings things to a close with some silky loops and funky rhythms.
