'Hoods' is a gloriously tuneful and witty musical reworking of the Robin Hood legend set in 1930's gangland Chicago.

Steve Frieder is a multi-genre saxophonist and wind player with a diverse range that spans jazz, pop, funk, rock, avant-garde, and free improvisation. He has performed globally alongside artists like Boy George and Culture Club, Too Many Zooz, Sir Woman, Aubrey Haddard, and PWNT. As a member of the Acid-Funk band Art Thief, Frieder explores experimental sounds, while maintaining a strong presence in the jazz and improvisation scene through collaborations with musicians such as Denman Maroney, Jerome Jennings, Bob Meyer, and Kelly Green. Frieder's style is rhythmically complex, featuring soulful melodies, rich harmonies, and explosive multi-phonics. His compositions are marked by a blend of melodic richness, psychedelic influences, and catchy improvisational grooves. Whether on stage or in the studio, his approach marks him a distinctive new voice across multiple musical landscapes.
