Almost exactly one year ago, when all the craziness started, the world became incredibly silent. It felt like the silence before the storm - and oh yes, the storm came. Still it is moving and shaking up the world: the old structures, much of what we believed in and relied on - and too, our little human hearts.
12 Months ago it was, when I remembered this beautiful circle song "One Planet is Turning", that just provides so much hope and trust in times of despair. I recorded it and its words were kind of echoing back and forth in the silence and gently touching some hearts and minds in a healing way.

Now, one year later, the message is still true, yet it somehow became more difficult to hear it - as the world became louder, the emptiness of the shock is slowly being filled up with theories, new ideas, new sorrow, new inspiration and all the challenging stuff that is moving within ourselves. That is moving us, while we are transforming and shedding and screaming and regurgitating layer after layer of ancient baggage, that can't be taken with us any longer.
Time to listen again.

I am very honored, that Alfredo included this song in the latest of his beautiful Medicine Music Journeys, alongside so many amazing Artists. He dedicates it to integration, gratitude and all the elements and medicines.

At the end of our Apprenticeship program, We had a marathon ceremony to sing the whole book from beginning to end. It was an incredible experience that took 37 hours and many cups...

We recorded it all for the sake of learning the songs and connecting to SOL spirit. The sounds of the forest are singing with us.

My name is Alfredo Botta, and I'm a DJ, producer, and musician. I've been making music since 1986 using my Commodore 64 and then using my Amiga. By the end of the 90s, I started using FruityLoops to create Techno-based music. Since many years now I've been using Ableton and Native Instruments to create various kinds of music: from Spiritual & Medicine Music to Downtempo over to Techno. 

I like to experiment with music as this gives me my inspiration to be creative. Since 2020 I started DJing and mixing as well as this helps to spread the spirit of the music. In 2019 I created my own record label called FruityAlfred Records which brings together artists from all over the world who share my passion for creating unique sounds through different styles but mostly Organic Downtempo, Electronica, Ambient and Deep House.

Music is a hobby to me which allows me freedom without being under pressure!
