the poundpuppies stuff is frank reina, brad cummings, & I, in studio, just goofing. sometimes it sounds like i'm tryin to get paid by the note, but frank & brad r layin it down as usual. it's a total gas to play over the tracks we laid down, but really ensemble is where i really think we kick. we played in clubs for years, & it's always intuitive, & super easy to jam w/these cats. they're super nice & mellow to boot, & zer0 of the probs sometime associated with musicians.   


REHYA STEVENS / Bio
Singer/songwriter/pianist Rehya Stevens was born in Pasadena Ca, and raised with a rich musical backdrop. Her father, a highly accomplished Jazz and R&B keyboardist and composer played gigs that ranged from $50 a night dive bars, to working as a composer/conductor for Walt Disney, Inc… writing scores, orchestrations and arrangements for Disney’s television shows and movies. Seasoned professionals from a myriad of trades; engineers, producers, musicians, singers, and songwriters infiltrated the household and were an integral part of Rehya’s formative years as an artist in bloom. 

At the age of 22, Rehya graduated with honors from the pop keyboard training program at The Musician’s Institute. Upon graduation, Rehya was awarded by the faculty, naming her ‘The most motivated and improved student to graduate from the K.I.T. department." Motivated indeed, Rehya formed a band with her peers, and recorded a 6 song EP that started her on the journey of building an impressive song catalog that has since opened several doors in her recording, performing and songwriting career.

From 2007-2010, Rehya scored songs for Paramount Pictures with the music supervision of Randy Spendlove for the film projects, ‘Maggie Lynn’ and ‘Footloose 2.’

Rehya's songs have been placed on the CBS, NBC, and TNT, networks, while her vocal placements include South Park X Box Video Game "The Stick Of Truth," (2014), "All I Want For Christmas" (Hallmark 2013), "Dear Secret Santa" (Hallmark 2013), Hasbro's National Moneyless Monopoly Commercial (The Cartoon Network 2011 )and the theme song for "Scott Baio 45 & Single" and it's sequel "46 & Pregnant."

On June 25th 2013, Rehya released a 13 song album titled “Vintage Love.” The “Vintage Love” project is a Pop, R&B crossover album produced (primarily) by Alex Teamer. The album spans the genres of Pop, R&B, Soul and Dance. Conceptually, each song on the "Vintage Love" album represents one of the three levels of love:

Eros: Erotic, romantic love- untested by hardship.

Philos: Love based on friendship with mutual respect- give and take.

Agape: Unconditional love without thought to benefit self.

The message of the "Vintage Love" album is of the soul’s yearning for love of a higher elevation in the complex, flawed jungle we call “life.”
Throughout "Vintage Love,"  Rehya demonstrates that she is an artist who knows a thing or two about life in this complex, flawed jungle, and has something meaningful to offer. Elegantly, she weaves her values into catchy, brilliant anthems of healing for another generation.
