Brooklyn-based producer Brian Cid follows up standout releases on the likes of Knee Deep In Sound, Lost & Found and microCastle with a debut on Berlin's Save Us Records (home to the likes of Jonas Saalbach, YokoO and Kris Davis). The two track release, which has already won the hallowed support of BBC Radio 1 legend Pete Tong, comes strapped with a remix from  rising star Andrea Ljekaj.

The former pop/hip-hop producer took time out of his intense schedule this week to talk us through the release, his current projects and his motivation behind the move to the electronic underworld. It's Dance but it certainly offers another emotional dimension to it. Groj adds: "The music came very fluently, I felt i explored boundaries and set a new standard for myself." We can definitly agree to that. HOSH himself offers a more floor pleasing version of the title track.

For ATL014 we head to the sprawling sunny metropolis of LA as talented duo Speaking In Tongues mastermind a stunning 3 tracker, assisted via Buenos Aires with a remix courtesy of Santiago Garcia.

Speaking In Tongues have greated something truly special with 'Passenger' drawing you in from the first bar through a focused 4/4 groove and deep edgey undercurrent, giving a sense the music can erupt at any point. Focus is drawn to the vocal as the intermittent cry of 'Pasajeros' meets crashing resonating percussive beats. The dancefloor moment is sustained by a deep overhead bass bombardment and hypnotic groove that will have you hitting the loop button for repeat plays.

Santiago Garcia provides a dramatic remix, pitching the bpm down to focus on the percussive tribal elements and melodies, letting the stunning 'Passenger' vocals shimmer and take over while giving listeners a a real sense of space.

Uplifting closer 'Twenty Nine Palms' transports listeners to a far off mystic land as Speaking In Tongues weave their sonic patterns through swathes of tasteful analogue sounds, revererating vox and undulating bass over crisp hats.
Label boss BOg has been using these as his secret weapons for the past few months, but at ATLANT we feel that sharing is caring. So now you can enjoy too.

Speaking In Tongues are Los Angeles House and Techno duo, Miguel Angel and Philip Anthony. The pair have released music on their own label 'Eternal Order' plus the likes of Motek, Clouds Above and Chilli Mint.

The recent Speaking In Tongues remix of Kauf featured on Kölsch's BBC Radio One Residency, and originals like 'Hear Me' featuring Cari Golden have had live plays from Damian Lazarus, Sasha, Lee Van Dowski, Herna'n Catta'neo and BOg.

There’s always simple Q&A but why settle for that when it’s Andre Lodemann in the hot seat and we can go deeper. Shortly after the completion of his upcoming album, 'The Deeper You Go,‘ a deeply-rooted project that since 2012 transcended from mere music production to a sort of an intuitive and self-reflective journey. Torture the Artist sits with the label owner and established DJ Producer and gets right to the heavy stuff, and as the new father reveals more about his artistic approach, his commitment to detail, intuition and music as art, the more his character aligns in sync with the sound and atmosphere depicted through his productions. 'The Deeper You Go' is not only the album title but also the first track on it and sets the mood for the other eight musical pieces to come. Already supported by various key-players, for a good reason, 'The Deeper You Go' depicts André's general preference for deeper House sounds with an eye/ ear for details creating a warmth in melancholia that is unique.
