This is my own remix of Darude - Feel the Beat Dirtykick Festival mix. Produced with ableton, virus TI2, Nordwave 2, Elektron analog four, Digitone 2, Minifreak and some vsts...The idea came up after a amazing festival in Paris 2 weeks ago. I was searching for a variation of the original song of Darude - Feel the Beat in the years 2000. I had the maxi vinyl of this track and loved it and especially the voice sample. I decided to rework everything from scratch. Every instruments...leads, basses,...layers...but adding also an evolving dirty drum kick all along the track and surrounding the original melody. And it sounds like this...Feel free to comment, like, share and repost ! A lot of work...but an huge pleasure to finish it finally.

Few good things came out of the sh*tshow that was 2020, but Gareth Emery dropping his first ever vocal was one of them. Lamenting the collapse of the music industry in 2020, Sad Song sees him on lyric, vocal, guitar and production duties, and whilst the song might be sad, it's one of the most catchy records Emery has ever made. Good luck getting it out of your head once you've heard it: we've tried, and we can't.
