Two of the most promising artists on the progressive scene and two guys we have decided to push as much as possible through our PHW imprint is with us today. Alex Humberstone aka Alex H, the Australian resident who have delivered for us and building his name through our roster, has gotten together with the US bound producer, Nico Schinco. Nico, another creative mind and a producer that you also will see a lot more of on PHW, brings on a beautiful melodic collaboration with us, called "The Draft". As always when it comes to productions including these names, you are to get beautiful harmonies, lovely melodic hooks and all the great and emotional textures these guys work out, day in and day out. We feel both of them were born to do this, and we are really happy they want to be a part of our label, as said, there is loads more to come from them, but for now, enjoy this masterpiece!

The icing on the cake. As Aly & Fila expand their record label with ‘Future Sound of Egypt Excelsior’, finish up yet another FSOE world tour, and drop smash record after smash record, it’s hard to imagine what in the world could be left for the pair. Just shy of 1 million Facebook followers as of this writing, Aly & Fila are about as elite as it gets.

A chance to break free. Their third studio album, ‘The Other Shore’ is the magnum opus of artists who have already reached the other side of their craft. No longer out to prove anything, Aly & Fila are free to create exactly the kind of album that they want. The most striking feature of this record is the sheer musicality of every track. Fusing instrumentation from different cultures, genres, and even eras, they’ve blended it all in a style that no one on earth could emulate.

Powerful diversity. From Aruna’s jazzy and minimal title track to ‘In My Mind’ (featuring Karim Youssef & May Hassan), the scope of this record is unimaginable. Songs like ‘Altitude Compensation’ will pull at your heart like a long-lost lover, while ‘Never Let Me Go’ (featuring Seri) is an intimate, remarkable tune made possible by inspired and magical vocals. Downtempo ‘Shine’ (with Roxanne Emery) is perfect for kicking back in peace and harmony.

“Perfection is achieved when there’s nothing left to take away.” Very few producers would have the confidence to strip their tracks down to the bare essentials, leaving nothing left to hide. To pull this off, what’s left has to be almost inhumanly perfect - breath for breath, note for note. You couldn’t take away a single sound or a song from this record and have it be the same, and as impossible as it may seem, it’s hard to imagine Aly & Fila going anywhere but up from here.

Rafael Osmo is back with a more experimental double-hitter. 'Sunlight' gets straight into the action with intricately programmed grooves and the action soon ramps up with the introduction of a huge offbeat ride bouncing off a chunky bassline. A bending held bass note leads you into the breakdown before power chords strike out the melody. The chords continue into the drop but are more sparse leaving space for bass, followed by a reprise of the full melody and a very cool stripped back section teasing you just before the outro beats. 'Export' picks up the pace and is an offbeat bass affair with plenty of wacky trademark effects from Rafael. The magic moment is in the breakdown when a 16ths chord arp induces pure excitement. This is soon followed by the drop, which is totally unpredictable; stripped-down bass, and a tension-building siren that ultimately leads on to some rather tasty 303-action. All truly off the wall stuff, we like!
