After almost two years of postponing music session weekends because of the pandemic, we finally got back together. Originally the base of the tune was created in 2017 as it was supposed to be in a computer demo, which did not get finished. Song sat in the 'wip-forever' directory for years until it was spotted again. We took this dub influenced piece, added some cinematically minimalistic elements into the song and Tapani Rinne kindly recorded us some smooth saxophone notes to make it truly whole.

Kaiho ('Saudade') for Carrillo Piano (upright piano with 97 keys, one octave divided into 96 equal steps). First performance at the Muziekgebouw aan t'IJ, Amsterdam, Feb 25, 2018. Ere Lievonen, pianist.
Uses mostly the scale of 18-21-5-13-18-3-5-13 steps in 96edo. The temperament system is known as Porcupine; fifths and minor thirds are tuned wide, and fourth is divided evenly into three steps.

Hi, my name is Jani-Pekka Hiltunen and this is a channel for my two music projects.

FTDJS project focuses on electronic music, contemporary techno and experimental electronic music genres. First public non-profit releases were released 2003 as shareware releases on Mikseri.net and after that on YouTube and on Soundcloud. First commercial releases are published on various streaming services 10.4.2022, which also was the 40th birthday of the artist himself. Some of the music were also listenable on various art exhibitions as a part of an art pieces.

Fun'iki Quartet is my latest ambient, ambient-folk, avant-garde & avant-garde folk focused art music project. Project focuses on live played experiences, but we also release studio sessions as well.
