The EP "Ash and Rebirth" is inspired by the film "Mother Android", where the plot leads to an AI takeover - hypothetical background in which an AI (Artificial Intelligence) becomes the dominant form of intelligence and takes the control of the planet. The first track "Searching for Humanity" describes a group of humans seeking for other forms of life. They are represented by the synth lead that tries to make its way between robotic sounds and broken rhythms. The second track "She Machine" is the Artificial Intelligence that takes the shapes of a robot-woman. She is determined, ruthless and deceptive as the sounds that describe her: metallic, electro and pressing synths, straight and punching kick, wicked atmos and depraved vocals. "Hopeless" is the robots taking over, destroying more and more, flushing out the remaining humans on the planet. But there is always hope. "New Era" is the dawn of the EP, a track that breaks the straight rhythms of the previous two. The synths inspire serenity and resolution, the atmos is free from metallic sounds, the drum gives the feeling of looking for something. A solution for the humans? A sense of rebirth? Or the end of everything.

The Dark Wasp was born as a classical musician. She has studied classical and contemporary music, played flute for over 12 years until she totally fell in love with the world of synths. She has been producing hard techno and dark techno tracks with the name DonTToxique but from the moment she began her journey with modular synths, she decided to start a completely new project with the name "The Dark Wasp''. Some of her greatest influences on electronic music were Gesaffelstein, Miss Kittin, The Hacker and Sierra. Born and lived in Rome, she has now lived in Berlin for three years, a city that continually fascinates and ispirates her.
