You see a sweater in the department store. You pick it up to feel it out. Cotton? Polyester? You refer to the tag. Cotton. Ultimately, you decide to pass on the sweater (it's summer, anyway). You try leave the sweater as you found it. You're folding the sweater. It's hard. Don't give up. You give up. You feel bad, so you try again. It's still hard. Eventually, you're satisfied with the effort given and with the state of the sweater. You walk away. A song comes over the speakers that you have heard before. You Shazam it. It's Duran Duran.

Redlands started as a solo project of vocalist Ben Lohle, who released his first EP, The Lonewolf, in 2014. Later, the group came together and made a move to Denver in 2015 to pursue their dreams. In just two short years, the band achieved significant success, selling out numerous shows, wowing audiences on the Vans Warped Tour, embarking on self-booked tours across the country, and winning the hottest radio contest in Denver.

In recent years, Redlands has continued to make waves in the music industry, earning a sold-out opening slot for Imagine Dragons and Dashboard Confessional, as well as catching the attention of esteemed publications such as Pitchfork, Diffuser, and GroundSounds. Their pop-infused rock n' roll sound has also landed them TV placements with CBS NFL, Comedy Central, and MTV.

Redlands was named Denver's next and upcoming artist in 2016 through Channel 93.3 KTLC's Hometown for the Holidays, claiming the number one spot. The single that earned them this position, "Big Talk," delves into the empty promises often found in naive and unfulfilling love, while their hit "Hollow Bodies" explores the attempts of lovers to escape their realities. Through their music, Redlands captures intimate moments of growing up, mental health, and young love, resonating with listeners of all ages.

Ocean Alley have captivated audiences around the world with their infectious melody lines and memorable blend of psychedelic-surf-rock. Their track 'Confidence' took out top spot in the triple j Hottest 100 of 2018, with their acclaimed second album ‘Chiaroscuro’ voted #2 on triple j's 2018 album of the year listener poll.

The band have solidified their position as one of Australia's most exciting touring acts, making their mark on the local and international circuit with their consistent touring schedule, selling out countless shows across North America, Europe, UK and New Zealand, as well as playing memorable sets in Australia at Splendour In The Grass, Bluesfest, Falls Festival and the triple j One Night Stand, as well as overseas at Reading & Leeds (UK), BottleRock (USA) and Sziget (HUN). 

June 2020 saw the release of Ocean Alley's third album 'Lonely Diamond'. The album features the singles ’Tombstone’, ‘Hot Chicken’, ‘Infinity’ and ‘Stained Glass’, debuting at #3 on the ARIA Album Charts in Australia and fuelling the band to consolidate and build with the immense DIY momentum that shows no sign of slowing down any time soon.
